Need help identifying a song

Male vocal; played regularly on Hot 97 (when the station was good) around 1989-1991.

Vocal goes something like this: "I got love, love, right where I want it, and I'm not afraid to let you go"

I think the song is I Got Love - Michael Rodgers. If anybody has this, please let me know

Never mind. I confirmed that this is the song. A record store that has it online played it for me over the phone.
