This is bad, so far ABC is getting a 6.2 rating for the NBA Finals Pistons vs Spurs. The rating is much lower than last years 10.2 with The Fakers vs Pistons. The best NBA Finals rating so far has been a 16.2 in 1998 Bulls vs Jazz(Jordans last shot) .

I want to do some research.

Who were these fans watching The 1998 Finals?

Why are they not watching now. Is the NBA losing the casual fan?

I these pre game concerts running away the true fans?

Is this league TV wise in bad shape?
 
No surprise there Mike, they've been nuttin but blowouts! It's no fun!! Bring back the 90's!!!!!!!!
 
Lets do an anylogy here.

Lets say there is this Resturant called: Cristal

It's high class, mostly P Diddy, Donald Trump and The tramp: Paris Hilton mostly eat there. Lets say Cristal desides have pizza night where it brings mostly families with kids, and HS Senior Night, with loud mouth teens coming. The big crowds like The Diddy's deside, Naw Man, not coming here no more.

That is what it is with THe NBA Finals, with no big stars in a finals, the networks try to do all these dumb non-sports pre game shows which is running awy the big sports fan who can't stay up late because they have to go to work the next morning. That is partly where most of the viewers have gone. And all this lack of Players labor talk during the finals and Phil Jackson returning during the middle of the finals. I still wonder why nobody is watching.

Robert Horry is the "unsung" hero in the playoffs.. He was the same when he was w/ the Lakers and now w/ the Spurs.. He GOT GAME and nobody ever gives him his dues..
