Nas turned himself in to authorities on Wednesday after an incident at a Manhattan club last week.

According to the website AllHipHop.com, Nas, born Nasir Jones, has been charged with assault after smashing a bottle over the head of a unidentified man.

The 30-year-old rapper, who is engaged to R&B singer Kelis, was with several men at club Ciclo on December 10, when a man came up to them in the VIP section saying that the rapper had grabbed him.

A fight then broke out and was eventually broken up by the club's bouncers. According to police, while the bouncers were speaking with Nas, he threw a bottle at the clubber and cut him.

Nas was released on bail set at $7,500, pending a court case set for January 20 😱
