So now you feel you need a crash course
On how you should've treated me
I've tried to teach you over the years
Yet you never paid attention to me
So egotistical and self centered
It was always about you
Now you want to cry me a river
Because we are finally through
Now look at what you have done
How does that make you feel?
My generous heart turning into stone
My scars you have revealed
As you sit there reflecting with time to think
Expressing to me your pain
I realized I should've said things sooner
My tongue I've ALWAYS restrained
No! I'm not IN LOVE with you
Do you understand what that means?
It is as plain as black and white
There is no in between
Years I've given you a hundred percent
Always trying to work things out
Overlooking everything else
Yet of me you ALWAYS had doubts
Mental and emotional scars
Like a knife cutting me so deep
I'm through feeling unappreciated and neglected
For you I no longer weep
I don't care to argue or fight anymore
I'm taking this exit...I'm finished!....DONE!
Was asleep for so long - now I'VE WOKEN UP
My new life I have begun.
