FREESTYLE DIVA

I JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT IM SORRY FOR KNOCKING TKA'S NEW CD BEFORE REALLY GIVING IT A CHANCE... THE FIRST TIME I HEARD THE SONGS THAT NIGHT TKA WAS AT KTU I REALLY WASNT FEELIN IT AND WAS MAD IT WAS TAKING AWAY FROM OUR FREESTYLE TIME, BUT MY FRIEND JUST GOT ME THE CD FOR MY BIRTHDAY AND I CANT STOP LISTENING TO IT. ITS DEFINATLEY NOT FREESTYLE - (WHICH IS WHY I GUESS U INCLUDED THIS VERSION OF WHEN WILL I C U. I PERSONALLY LIKE THE ORIGINAL VERSIION BETTER) I REALLY LIKE THE SPANISH GUITAR FLAVOR IN SOME OF THE SONGS AND THE NSYNC / BACKSTREET BOYS SOUNDS IN THE OTHERS. EVERY SONG IS DIFFERENT BUT I LOVE THEM ALLL I LISTEN TO IT ALL THE TIME - IT TAKES ALOT FOR ME TO TOLERATE EVERY SONG ON ONE CD BUT YOU GUYS GET A THUMBS UP FROM ME.

I really couldn't begin to tell you how that warms my heart, and I am sure the guys will reply in the same. We really tried hard to make good music period point blank. They styles manifested themselves. My job has been as an advocate to get the people who liked TKA once before to open their minds, and to give it a listen with their own ears, then make assessments.

You don't always have to bring your opinions back to the table. A lot of the negative stuff gets way too much attention, too much of mine as well. But it seems like it's too easily forgotten or not acknowleged enough when someone like yourself is truly spreading love. I can't tell you how much I/We appreciate that.

Stop trying to be nice. This album is horrible. Yo Tybless: Did you guys go into the studio trying purposely NOT to make quality hard hitting freestyle. The three songs that make a weak attempt at freestyle may be the three worst songs on the album. The rest of it sounds like some wannabe NSYNC stuff. How is that Spanish Harlem flava? The only quality part of the album is the house songs. I think that might be cuz the focus is not on their singing. Who's writing these songs. It was just awful. Plain awful. Y'all is capable of much better.
 
I bought the CD and love it. I'd like to see all you haters do better.

i am not here to defend tka cause i think they could do that themselves and i also think there is enough of people doing that for them....but i have to say it...the album is good!!!! i mean some songs...mostly the slow ones and the house type songs are a bit on the corny side in my opinion...but on the whole this cd is one of the best in my collection for a while...i mean i have barley taken it out of my cd player in my car since i got it on the sixth...and if u know me i am constantly in my car puttin miles on it!!!!!

so when i hear people bashing it like i was when all i had to go on was feel the music...i know they couldnt have heard the cd...or they couldnt have given it half a chance...believe me as one of the hardest people talkin cheese on this matteryou can know i am not kissing butt, and u can know that i have nothing to gain by saying it...actually i have a lot to lose...since i look like a fool changing my opinion...but oh well think what u want...i know what i know!!!!!

Those of us who vehemently dislike this latest TKA effort are not "haters"; we are FreeStyle connoisseurs. As such, we can assert whether or not something, such as this TKA release, is of inferior quality.

Whether or not people, such as yourself, label us as "haters" does not diminish the weight of our remarks.

In conclusion, your call to action ("I'd like to see all you haters do better.") is illogical because we, FreeStyle connoisseurs, are not in the business of creating music: Our vocation is not FreeStyle music, but our avocation is, indeed, FreeStyle appreciation, and the "Forever" album leaves little to be appreciated.

Deal with that.

i dont get it anymore.....you post your own opinion on an album of what you believe and you get attacked by numerous people..........should it be that if you dont like an album we all should stay quiet coz we have the feeling that other member will label us as a so-called HATER........1 question........how are you a hater if you dont like an album and state your opinion.........I WOULD LOVE FOR SOMEONE TO ANSWER THIS FOR ME.......maybe a new thread could be started of why you would be stereotyped as a HATER

I know...I posted about that very problem, and even alot of the "non haters" ..lol...agreed it was wrong when I brought that into the open. Anyway, you got it right, if you don't like it you are automatically a "hater" or better yet you are a "playa hater"....is "playa" even a word?? I don't think so, but that shows the general intelligence. 🙂
 
Mario- No no no...You see...This man had said many things before, on his own opinion. I didnt say anything, because he was just gettin started with what he has to say. And yes, i do respect that. But you dont understand what has been gettin to me. To Elear and other people..He keeps on saying that why are we lying to ourselves, you know the albulm sux, or, speak your mind, why you artists gotta suck up to others...Now, you see, thats where i get REALLY ticked off..Its one thing to bash TKA, and its another when you go into someones positve opinion, and tell them why are they being so nice. I dont think that was neccesary at all! How are you gonna tell someone that they are lying to themselves and to speak there mind! They did speak there mind! And what they had said was that they DID LIKE the albulm. Just cause some say the like it, doesnt mean he has to come on in and say those things. he can say that HE dont like it..But damn, why the other shit? Now thats what I dont understand. So dont get me wrong Mario...Im not jumping down his throat only because he doesnt like the new albulm. In that case, I should be jumping down everyones throat...lol...But I only started saying what I had to say to him, when he came up with that...So sorry if you dont like what i gotta say, and for me jumping down his throat..But you know what, if he can jump down lovers throats, I can do the same!

I think that with all the TyBless/TKA posts that have appeared in the past year, I've posted to maybe one. People are really going overboard on this topic.

I cracks me up that everyone who likes freestyle is suddenly the "expert" or a connoisseur. I've been listening to freestyle since 1983 and would never consider myself an expert or make general statements about what music is good or what is not simply because it doesn't suit my tastes. That doesn't make you a "connoisseur", it makes you "opinionated"!

As for being labeled a "hater" just because you dislike something, that is wrong. However, bringing negative opinions on something is different. I'm not saying you don't have the right to say what you feel, but consider this:

Your mother (or father, or grandmother or whoever) busted their azz all last night and today, making (in their opinion, and their family's opinion) the perfect Thanksgiving meal, and I'm invited to try it. I then say, "well, I've tasted better. The turkey is dry, the gravy is lumpy, the salad is wilted, the rolls are burnt, the wine is the wrong vintage, and there's no Cool Whip for the pumpkin pie." "I would think that you would do better if you know guests are coming."

That's my opinion, and according to your posts, I have the right to express that.

The problem is, that's extremly rude and hurtful, and that's just what you are doing by constantly expressing your negative views on the new TKA album.

Your mothers should have taught all of you that if you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all! That what civilized people do!
