A hacker hacked the site? Do you think there's more to it than that? Or do you think Brent is simply done with ClubFreestyle?

This is very interesting, and I quote Brent, "The site may pop back online if I get some spare time."

It doesn't look too promising to me.

Do you think there's more to it than that?

No there isn't.

Or do you think Brent is simply done with ClubFreestyle?

Perhaps not but I can tell you one thing, it won't ever be the same as it used to be. All of CF's files were deleted. If he didn't backup his shit, then he would be looking at starting from scratch. But I predict he has a copy of what the forum used to look like (minus all the threads and posts ever processed) so it isn't all that bad.

It doesn't look too promising to me.

Nothing is.

Ya.....uhhhh....

I've been planning on picking my nose and pulling the wedgy outta my ass if I get some time too!

CF may not yet be dead!! If someone buys the name and keeps the tradition alive is all that counts. As a site admin myself and am not speaking for all site owners but can assume that most would agree that we don't ever like to see Freestyle sites end. The whole point I started my site years ago is for the simple "LOVE" of the music and nothing more. I actually love it when more and more sites comem around and also do it bigger than you. DOCH.com is a site to me that I hold HIGH in the promotion of freestyle. Not only is it a forum but there is info on videos, artists, new, etc like my site however they have taken it a whole new level like doing Freestyle.FM uniting sites like WCM Radio, Phlexican.com, FreestyleClubHits, etc....and now uniting with my site, FM, as well!!!

So, what does this have to do with CF....again, CF may not yet be dead!! If the name can be purchased and tied into one these sites mentioned and that the brand of freestyle is still promoted.....lets go after it.

Check this concept out!! We should all unite and make one unity site for all of our sites....perhaps clubfreestyle.com is that site. Picture it...we all unite to purchase the name from Brent. Now, we build a site that when you log in...it runs commercials on all of our sites and has some general info. Clubfreestyle.com can be the hub for freestyle music worldwide. Then the visitors, DJs, record labels, artists, etc....see on the homepage links of all of our sites. What you guys think?? Clubfreestyle.com can be so much bigger than what it is now and what it was.....it has the potential to put everything under one banner...much similar to what DOFCH is doing now!!

DOFCH (if interested), FreestyleMania, Freestyleremix (if interested), Freestylemusic.com (if interested), Phlexican.com (if interesed) just to name a few would all have an equal partnership in CF......

Maybe its just me thinking in a different world but if we are going to make this thing big....we need to begin, of course buyting the product, but also help promote the product and genre.....if we are so beaten down by the music industry....we need to TRY our very best to come at it at all angles as hard as we can..

Band together to purchase the CF domain? I don't think so. I wouldn't trust most of you with any of my money.

😱

that is the downfall....who can we trust??

I personally never had an ill feeling of the name of the site...the site admin, the politics involved, etc.....it was a different story but the name...never an issue....

I think to much division within sites is to prevelant now going into 2007....where will the divisions stop?

Fighting (i.e. division) is human nature. Otherwise, we wouldn't have all these wars/battles/skirmishes throughout history and up through the present.

People will always be at odds, in one form or another. It's part of whom we are, as sentient beings.

f**k, I wouldnt take CF even if someone gave it to me. The site is tainted and it deserves this death. Brent hasnt even been around in weeks so I bet he hasnt backed up shit. do you know how much work it takes to get a site up and running of that size? much more than 2 weeks.

I just regret that I didnt have enough time to spam everyone via PM about my site!

noted and agree with the comments....i guess I am just a free thinking liberal and give things benefit of the doubt!! Since we are a small community, I just think it would be "great" if we could partner more then we do now.....oh well, moving on!!

Not for nothing, but I'll miss it. It's the first Freestyle web site I ever joined, and at one time it was very informative. But I'm over it. 😉

CF rose after the defunct "freestyle nation" faced shutting down. I loved FN. Its where I got to meet the most hardcore freestyle fans such as Rhoq, CPR, Fernando as well as Legit, Nelson Cruz, Artie and Alex of Latin Nation.

I think Latin Freestyle.com was around a bit longer, however.

Nothing lasts forever. Take it from a guy who got banned in less than 10 minutes for attempting to giveaway free cds on the site. That site left a bad taste on alot of people's mouth and like Freestyle itself.... it jumped the shark.

Jack always saw dollar signs when it came to freestyle. the funny thing is that no one else, not even the artists, were making any money. How can this fucktard expect to extort money from an industry that had no money?

It was like borrowing money from someone of food stamps!
The Freestyle Fan doesn't buy anything. They may buy mix cds but thats the extent of it.
