I am just curious. How are Moderators selected? is there a system in place where existing Moderators can be voted out and voted in? Or are these decisions left squarely with the owners of the site.

Can we initiate a process if one doesn't exist?

Any thoughts....I would also love to hear from existing Moderators.

Thanks.

We were basically selected by former President Clinton and Hillary Rodhem Clinton for the positions!! To get rid of a mod. you gotta go to a botanica and light a candle on us. Either, that or pay us off!!:spin

well, in ye olden days, you had to know your history of freestyle and you had to have some connections in the industry. 🙂

I became a mod, and I had no connections. lmao

and compared to people like Fr33styleking, Rhoq, AnthonyA, and some others, I don't consider myself extremely knowledgeable on freestyle.

Mods become selected by length of time associated with the website, number of posts, availability to be on the site.

I became a moderator when years ago no moderator was looking out after shoutout/everything else section (except JackG).

When I came here...it was pretty messy and I helped clear things up and JackG hit me up with a PM to become mod. He even confide in me to be mod for FMT section (the hardest section to moderate) and Photo Forum. 🙂

So basically, if you look out for the place that gives you thrills and wealth, cause lord sure knows I been treated with TOO many goodies hehehe, you will easily get noticed.
