big maybe

only reason it could is if you listen to the song. instead of rapping or saying anything at all.

she lets the beat make noise. and she dosnt say anything.

so thats who it could pass for freestyle a bit.

other than that its just a dance song.

but whats really interesting about it. or what i care about.

is that a black entertainer or rap artist.

went with club beat instead of a rap beat.

which in the 90's she would have never done.

that tells rap is loosing its grip. miss eliot would have made a rap song 10 years ago.

here she made a club song dance beat.

It definately has a catchy beat, but it is not freestyle.
Everyone should really try to listen to the freestyle from back in the mid 80's, before it was called freestyle. Some good tracks to listen to...
Jasmin- "On the loose"
Expose- "Point of no return" Original version with Sandee', Ale Lorenzo, And Laurie Miller
Nayobe-" Please don't go"
Safire - "Don't break my heart"
Monet- "Give in to Me"
Shannon- "Give me tonight"
Cyre- "Last Chance"
Tina B- "Honey to a bee"
It's a good cross section of different types of freestyle sound.
It will be much more apparent how completly different this sound is, to what people try to equate freestyle sounding stuff to.
