Well, I need advise from the CF family.

Here's a story that hit too close.

This girl has the terrible luck of meeting nothing but D.J.'s. It's like the spell was set and can't be broken. Call it bad luck, call it an omen. (BAD OH-MEN)..lol

Anyway, she meets this guy and two weeks later they go out on a date. She had a great time with him. He calls her everyday two and three times a day at work just to chit-chat. Sometimes in the evenings. However, come the friday nite and the weekends he has no time for her.

She gets a call from him the first week on a Sunday evening and he ask's her "Are you ignoring me?" "Did I do something wrong?".
So she took it that he was really dissapointed that she did not call him on purpose to test him.

The second week...SAME ROUTINE..He calls her on Sunday evening, but she doesn't answer the phone, & he doesn't leave a voice mail message. So, she goes on line and they chat. She calls him upon his request and then she vents. She tells him she's interested in getting to know him more and of his world. He remains quiet. He tells her that he's not interested in a serious relationship..BOINGGGGGGGGGG!!!
NEWS FLASH..He just wants to be friends.

So, do friends call friends 4 times a day, and in the evenings too? LATE IN THE EVENINGS, TILL MID-NIGHT? NOT IN MY BOOK.

SO MY QUESTION IS.
WHO'S THE ONE WITH THE WRONG IMPRESSION OF WHAT A FRIEND IS? HE OR SHE? NEEDLESS TO SAY,,,IT'S OVER.

PLUS:..SHE'S SINGLE, AND NO KIDS,,,HE'S DIVORCED AND 2 KIDS...
WHO'S GOT THE BETTER END OF THE BARGAIN HERE? HE OR SHE?

HELP!!!!DID SHE DO RIGHT IN BREAKING OFF "THE FRIENDSHIP"..I THINK SO, BUT I'm just curious.

I do, and ive recieve calls at the craziest hours of the morning/night
 
Well girl I have to agree with stick I have GUY friends that I call everyday.....stay on the phone for HOURS at a time just talking, but the only difference is that WE ARE STRAIGHT ABout it ....no expectations ...some attractions but girl you know my issues. Anyways I think you should just be friends with the guy....if you can't be friends then move on and find a more suitable dude 😉

I don't know,,,i think it's weird...you don't have conversations that pass the non-personal line and make remarks then expect the other person not to respond as something more than "FRIENDS".

Either way,,,I think it's best to move on.

sorry to hear about ur friend. Seems that the guy just needs to fill in the blanks during the week and at the weekend he's got his own thing. At least he confronted her with the truth of being just friends.
And yeah I have friends calling me every day, at times when I'd rather sleep, lol... but I know what you mean though!!!!
 
HEY GIRL. I TOTALLY RELATE TO YOUR STORY.

RECENTLY I WAS "HANGING OUT" WITH THIS GUY FOR THE PAST 6 MONTHS. HE WOULD CALL ME EVERYDAY AT NIGHT AND TALK FOR LIKE 2 HOURS!! THEN THE WEEKEND WOULD COME AND HE WAS "MIA" WITH HIS FRIENDS. WE HUNG OUT ONCE A WEEK ON LIKE A SUNDAY OR DURING THE WEEKDAYS..NOT ON FRI OR SAT!! THAT WAS VERY RARE IF WE DID. I FINALLY TOLD HIM WHAT I WANTED FROM HIM AND HE WAS LIKE, "I'M SORRY BUT, I DON'T WANT ANYTHING SERIOUS RIGHT NOW".............SIX MONTHS????????????????? I WAS LIKE, "WHEN WERE YOU GONNA TELL ME THIS...A YEAR LATER????" I CUT HIM OFF RIGHT THERE. HE STILL CALLS ME EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE TELLING ME THAT HE ENJOYS OUR CONVOS AND HE THINKS I'M A GREAT PERSON.........SO WHY WON'T HE WANT SOMETHING WITH ME THEN??????

RAVEN: SHE MEANT THAT THEY ACTUALLY DID GO OUT ON A DATE...AND SHE WAS CONFUSED WITH HIS REACTION AFTERWARDS. YOU'RE RIGHT, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH A GUY AND GIRL CHATTING ALL THE TIME. BUT IF THEY WENT ON A DATE AND FEELINGS ARE INVOLVED WITH ONE OF THEM, AND THE OTHER PERSON IS GIVING MIXED MESSAGES......THEN IT IS TOTALLY WRONG.

I think the actions following this day were nothing but meaningless to him,,just a routine behavior.

Whatever the case maybe...I think she's the winner here.
