Lemme start by saying I have a half latino kid and I grew up in Miami so if there is a blanco out there that can feel ya NYPRCAN it has to be me!!! I speak spanish better than some latinos!!! Having said all that I think everyone was wrong that got involved.

The fines for everyone were a slap in the wrist in a game were 3 year 21 million contracts are the norm. I believe your right that your letter as well as all the other letters people write will have an effect. Although perhaps I would try and calm down a bit so that "whitey" doesn't think your being too militant! The most important effect I hope they have is that a great game such as baseball can go back to being what it is baseball.

A game played in the streets and parks of this country between latinos, chinos, blancos and anyone else brave enough to step to the plate.

My hope is we can just get back to a great game! I bet if you could get Pedro to talk he would regret the way it has gotten blown up and not just because he was levied with a $50,000 fine.
