Whatever happened to Martika??? She had such a big hit with "Toy Soldiers" and I also loved her song "More Than You Know".

Martiak born, 18 May 1969, California, USA. This pop singer grew up in California, her parents having fled Cuba shortly after the revolution. Her first experience in showbusiness came early, with an appearance as a dancer in John Huston's 1982 movie Annie. Although her popularity lingered for a while in England, the singer subsequently faded from view as she took a break from music. She returned to recording with 'The Happy Song' for the Welcome To The Conga Club collection, and began work on a new album in the late 90s.

I have something toadd to Martika. I saw her a few years ago live with a soul band. None of her old songs were sung. Sad, I know because I love her very much to. She was singing back up for this soul band. You could not tell it was her. Then they say, "Here Is Martika", She comes out in a liquid metal formfitiing suit. SHe has this long black wig on with short bangs. she sang 5 new songs. At the end song she ripped off her wig and her hair was a short to the scalp haircut with it dyed red. By the way also what was cool was she was wearing 7inch heels and dancing all over the stage in them. She was great and unbelieveable. Her performance was at the Key Club in West Hollywood. I hope that helps anyone.

Hey Melissa....it's from a freestyle song..."Give Me Back My Heart" by Corina. In my opinion, it's one of the all time best freestyle songs! 🙂
