Because she was stupid. Like most of us. We think if we do what our partner wants and make them happy at the expensive of our happiness. That thats gonna make the relationship work but it dont. You have to be happy with yourself and do your own thing. She did mention that Mark was jeolous. He didnt let her drive and go to the gym. He's insecure with himself and wanted her under his thumb.
