I read in todays newspaper that Mariah Carey wants to work in the studio with J. Lo. I couldn't believe that! Because in my own personal opinion, I think Mariah Carey is the REAL singer between the two. Why would she want to do something with J. Lo? J. Lo's spokespeople haven't responded to this offer yet. Let's see what happens.
 
LaBetty what you say it’s very true but I think Mariah Carey is really after the publicity. J.Lo is in now and Mariah is from Old School no matter how wonderful and beautiful she sings, she’s not getting noticed by the public. This is more a public relations spec than anything else. Mariah is really a DIVA and J.Lo is a performer and I mean this in a good way J.lo is by all standards a great performer.

Mariah, old or new, has great vocals.

From what I heard, Mariah Carey was pissed at Jennifer Lopez and Tommy Mattola because he supposedly "leaked" an idea of a song or sample that Mariah Carey was planning to do. But, it so happens that T.M. got word on what M.C. was working on and told J.L. and her producers, and so J.L. debuted with that very same sample before M.C. got a chance to release it.

Why is everyone sweatin' J.L. anyways?

I kinda had respect for Mariah. If this duet goes through- 2 words: Sell Out.

I'm sorry.... I think Mariah is the worst performer in the world. Yes, she can sing, but every since she had her boobs done, all she does is barely wear any clothes and flaunt them. She is trying to hard to be excepted by the hip-hop crowd that she is losing herself in this perception of a person she thinks she is. If I were her, I'd want to surround myself with good performers and that's what Jennifer Lopez is. She might not be the greatest singer... but at least her image is good.

(sorry, I don't care for Mariah that much, can you tell? :lol)

BTW that's the way publicity stunts work--create the rumors and the discrod and then boom the song-- it's simple text book case in every classroom
 
I would hope that Mariah hooks up w/some real good producers and get back on the ball...Damn I miss her good music!

i agree that is why i lost all respect for mariah cuz she only uses people to try to sell a record...
 
I think that J Lo's people know that mariah would have blowen her out of the water. At least, Mariah was woman enough to squash whatever ill thoughts and negative publicity there was and extend the invitation. Like a real lady.

I agree Tank. If you put them both together, vocally (such as in a duet), we all know who would sound 100% better, breakdown or not.

Besides, Mariah has handled herself like a true lady (diva) throughout her career, where as Jennifer Lopez (after one hit movie) was talking shit about Madonna, Jack Nicholson, and a few other celebrities and it got back to everyone and smacked her right back in the face. She's lucky that incident didn't hurt her career.

Besides, with all the money she has you'd think she hire a full-time vocal coach. Bitch needs to take some lessons or just stick to acting (and even that ain't the best). Oh well. I ain't hating. Just stating the facts....

The only thing she has going for her is that she's Puerto Rican, and she has a big ass that's insured for $1 Million.....
