Hello. This is my pic and bio for all of those who Have been asking for it. Thanks for all the love and support.
Manny, a simple name, used to describe a person with many musical talents. His real name, Manuel, which means "God is with us," has been the true meaning in his life. “I know that God is truly with me,” and it is proven in Manny’s ability to expand his faith and talents into a musical career, giving him the ability to create musical compositions in many styles of music.
Manny's interest in music began as a child, influenced strongly be his parents who are of Puerto Rican origin. During Christmas time, the Puerto Rican tradition of parrandas, or Christmas caroling, was the introduction for Manny's musical performances, as he sang and played instruments alongside his father. The attention he received from displaying his musical talents was a big inspiration for Manny that highly influenced him to pursue a career in music. "I began writing songs and joined the school and church choirs and theater production groups. A standing ovation from my classmates in high school, after I auditioned to sing a song for a play, was what motivated me to try and take my talents to another level."
Manny decided to take one of the songs he composed to producer Gabriel Jimenez. While putting together a demo song entitled ”For Eternity” at Gabriel's studio, he was introduced to Edwin Ramos Jr., producer and engineer for many of today's hottest artists, such as Mary J. Blige, (MCA Records) and TKA (Tommy Boy Records.) Together, Edwin and Manny put together many songs with Manny featured as the vocal performer and songwriter including “Darkness of Night” and "I Thank You." Looking to establish a new sound, " a fusion between the old and the new," Edwin and Manny recorded a remake of one of his favorite songs entitled "Lady Laura." This remake became his “trademark song,” giving him the opportunity to perform alongside many of today's hottest performers, including El Gran Combo of Puerto Rico, C and C Music Factory, Jose Feliciano and George Lamond.
In 1999, Manny decided to expand his musical horizons and improve his career. “Studying music education in the Conservatorio de Musica de Puerto Rico, (Music Conservatory of Puerto Rico,) opened the doors for many new opportunities to write songs for different artists,” including Tito Puente Jr. (song entitled "I Can't Stop, featured on "Evolution of Dance" compilation) Music Education has helped to develop Manny’s ability to create compositions in many styles of music. His latest projects include a song entitled “Love’s Not That Easy,” released on the “Evolution of Dance” compilation by Edwin Ramos of Bigtime Entertainment.
Manny's accomplishments have been featured on radio, television and different music magazines, including Dance Music Authority, (DMA), which reviewed a CD compilation featuring one of his compositions("Darkness on Night," Pryme Tyme Records) giving it a five star rating for excellence.
"I believe that with hard work and the continued support of people all over the world, my music will touch the lives of many.
My goal is to create the kind of music that will last forever."
