the mixtape is a staple of popularity that freestyle and hip hop have in the streets though it has been killing freestyle i think it could be our way back aLSO ....PLEASE LISTEN WITH AN OPEN MIND]
OUR ORIGINAL FORMULA [tka] was too write our songs to the then popular songs of hip hop .we sang them to their instrumentals .with this i call to all those who can to begin to make freestyle songs over slower hip hop beat instumentals lets make a mix tape one that will give away our idea by spreading it out to our future fans so that we can create this new base of fans .lets use this as our trail and error.but if we are going to do this lets get some big names to come in on this ,YOU KNOW WHO ALL OF YOU ARE LET GO THE EGO'S CAUSE WE GOT A POINT TO PROVE..
all these instrumental should be given to a dj who knows both hip hop and freestyle so that they can but this tape together right.try as many songs as you like but remember keep it in the vain of freestyle by the lyrics and melody .this is a good way to start and a good example so we can all know what to do. call me crazy call me radical.

I have friend that dj's for private parties that has done something similar to what you're talking about. He was just playing around but they sounded awesome!

What he did was took instrumentals from all kinds of music genres and mixed them without lyrics of course but the beats were rockin! 🙂

Sounds like a flashback to me & a damn good idea.

I remember back in the 80's when my friends would DJ & make me mixed tapes each tape would have freestyle, house & old school hip-hop.

I think that is why no matter how hardcore of a freetylehead you are, you will still remember the lyrics to several hip-hop songs, because they were played together back in that era.

If we can somehow bring back the way music used to be, or get close to it, I am all for it. 😉
