Madonna & Missy Elliot are working on some remixes of her classic 1985 club jam "Into The Groove", & so far the word is that it will be available at Gap stores, as part of some promotion.

(Which I found kinda wierd cuz Madonna hates The Gap.)

I was watching the "Today" show this morning while getting ready for work and they were talking about this. There's going to be a new line of ads for the GAP featuring Madonna and Missy, featuring that song, so I guess it ties into to promotional stuff. I foundi t weird to be hearing about this, cause as someonealready said, Madonna isn't exactly a GAP lover. Oh well. From what I heard of the song, it sounds hot.
 
"Into The Groove" is a classic song that identifies with the whole 80's era. It was a clash of the punk sytle and dance scene. It's an awesome track and I have so many different versions of the song that I can never get tired of the original version. That is literally one of my favorite songs.

They used the same song a few years back for GAP commercials, without Madonna. This time around she is going to be a spokesmodel for the famous label. Missy remixed it, just like she remixed "American Life".

I can't wait to get my hands on this one.
 
Yeah, "Into The Groove" is definately one of my Madonna fav's! & I neva get tired of it either!
It's a very early freestyle-ish/Alisha sounding track as well.
Cant wait to hear it, a few more days!!!!

Missy actually remixed "American Life" and did some vocals w/Tweet on the new version. It was hot and madd UNDERRATED! :mad

Missy's tha shyt and it seems like Madonna's a fan so maybe Madonna do a guest spot on Missy's next cd. That would be crazy! lol
 
Ok I saw it for the first time today (I don't watch a lot of tv lol) and I don't like it...Madonna is my fave singer and "get into the groove" is my all time fave song from her but WTF WAS SHE THINKING!!!! :mad and I love Missy again one of my faves in hip hop...the visual is really cool but the song :confused it sux!!!

They are using "Into The Groove" because the pants they are pushing are cordoruays, the pants with all the grooves in them.

I saw the commercial the other day, liked it and the version of "Into The Groove".

However, from what I understand, Gap employees are more than a little ticked off at the Gap for the commercials.

It seems that upper management is telling employees that their hours will be cut to save money, and no overtime will be available.

Then, Gap turns around and offers Madonna $10 Million dollars for the commercial.
