I know that Jack started a thread about forever and to be honest , is ok in my opinion, but this song by Christine Turner, really deserves attention, at first I was like this is not freestyle, it has a trance/progressive beginning, which I do like, then the freestyle beat came in and I was yes, and I just heard the whole song, and I think this is a winner, if radio and clubs dont pick this one up, there is a problem/the vocals are good, and the break definately of the hook, the trance/progressive feel to it is phat.....
what do others think, and by the way I am into old school, and I know there is a lot controversy surrounding the new sound to freestyle, but this song has a old school feeling to it, but keeping up w/ the times......

Hey There

I know Cristine Turner personally and I know how talented she is, her first song "Love at first Sight" which is on Pryme Tyme Records was phat, but when I heard this track and the original was good too, but before it got remix to the Artistik Version and believe me I seen her shows and she's good. I wish her the best and I admire her talent, she has this going for her Talented, vocal ability, Tall, white and drop dead gorgeous...🙂 hi cristine where you :confuse: you post here some times......
Well here we go.
1 Love😎

I agree also that's a phat song! The beginning of the song I totally love! Its got a nice flavor to it! I hope she comes
out with more stuff..

I love that song

Its on of my favorites from the Freestyle Parade 2k1 series.

The lyrics are hot & she has great vocals

I would like to thank everyone for their support. I did think anybody noticed that the track was out! For those of you who don’t know me I wrote and produced Christine’s song as well as producing Amante’s “Let’s Get It On.”

I’m not sure which version is on the smash or trash. I wasn’t too happy with the version on the Artistik CD. It had several minutes of music edited out and was not the fuller, cleaner sounding extended mix with the vocals mixed more upfront that was done in my studio. The version on the CD was mixed at Artistik Studios. The one on smash or trash is probably the mix I intended to be on the CD, as I believe Johnny Budz submitted it. I still haven’t received a copy of the Artistik CD that it is on, maybe someone can send me one?

As far as Christine doing shows, it does not look like it is going to happen at this time. She is busy attending school and does not have the budget to be doing free shows all over the country. Promoters refuse to even provide transportation to and from shows.

We had a bunch of freestyle songs that we demo’ed but we have no plans to record them at this time. We are currently moving in a new direction as I just finished her first dance song “Livin a Dream.” I am currently shopping the song around and have had several offers but we are waiting for the right one. I will keep everyone posted.

It's A Great Song!

Wishing both of you well.

chris email me your addy. I thought i did send u your copies. Also to be honest the mix i used that we both did at my studio was the cleaner mix. the one u did at ur studio the vocals were way too low. i told u that.

To Chris Sammarco

Hi Chris just wondering when you stated a new direction, are you saying that by recording freestyle she is not gettin the deserve attention by clubs/labels/ and of course radio. if thats the case, that it goes to show you that no matter what people in the freestyle industry do to get the right attention, we will never break even. we are the black sheep of the music world, and I am not trying to be negative, but I am just being realistic, I could have all the money in the world to promote this song and her and I bet you nothing will be accomplised, What does it take or what does freestyle need to get the right attention, God is so frustating as a fan, but I cant even imagine the stress that the artist goes through, that must really suck. And to begin with we as fans are hard to please, but I am getting of the topic, I just wish Christine Turner and you Good luck.......

Budman,

Thank you for your support and your intelligent well thought out post. There is no chance of breaking even or making any money in the freestyle market as an artist or producer unless you had a hit song years ago. Freestyle is a black sheep as far as radio and clubs are concerned. I D.J. at the biggest club in New Jersey and new or old freestyle is not part of the format. Radio considers the music a joke and the labels that used to release the music are out of business or don’t even acknowledge it. I had a meeting with a large independent label recently that used to release freestyle. When I asked them about the music they laughed.

Most of the new artists (and I am talking about the ones who can’t sing and can’t even write a sentence of proper english) give the music a bad name thus ruining it for those with talent. Some of the classic acts (those with hits 10 years ago or more) think they are still larger than life. What they don’t realize is most people who frequent the clubs are between ages 18-23. These people have no idea who these classic acts are!!!

Willie has done a fine job promoting his and my music but one man can only accomplish so much. We released our music with Willie because we felt his label was the strongest and most respected out of the remaining freestyle labels. Christine and I never stressed over freestyle and I considered it good practice before we made the jump to dance music. Out of all our experiences in this industry Willie made it very stress free for us to release our material with him.

Although I have stated in the past that I am done with the industry, I still keep an eye on things just to see if anything is changing. I have always left the door open for doing an occasional remix but I haven’t had any labels or artists beating down my door with a sufficient budget to do quality work.

Thanks for the support!

I want to start by saying thank you EVERYONE for your support. The reason why I live for this business is for the fans, because without them, we would all be nothing. It is great to hear such positive feedback as an artist, because it makes you realize that all of your hardwork was worth while.

I love freestyle, but even more than that....I love to sing. Since I was a little girl, when I was singing songs that I made up in the tub, I have always known that I was destined to be a recording artist. I never knew that it took way more than vocal talent to make it. It has been a real bumpy ride to say the least, and those of you who know me personally can understand what I am talking about.

I am not giving up on freestyle, I have no contempt for anyone. I am glad that I got to participate in something we all feel strongly about...bringing it back!! Everyone has been great, Willie, Chris, Mike Lunn, Alex and his brothers, Tara, Harv Roman, Victor, Johnny, all of my clubfreestyle friends. I couldn't have done any of this without a single one of you.....whether the lesson I learned was a good one or a bad one...it was a lesson all the same, which I will take with me for future endeavors.

I Love Freestyle. Freestyle lives, inside all of us (popular or not), and if I touched one person's life with one of my songs...then my mission was accomplished! Thanks!

Unfortunetly

Budman we are the black sheep of music and like Chris Ssammarcos said before
Radio consider the music a joke
Yes is true, but if it wasn't for freestyle half of these station that are so popular wouldn't be on now. Hot 103, Hot 97, and and anybody that follow the format blew up because of Freestyle. But radio did the same thing they did to Rock music they drown it with all the negativity yes they are some artists that can't write nor sing, but the reason for that is because they are not push to the right directions. Is all about the money.

Cristine Turner I adore you and give you a standing ovation for what have you done, and glad I can call you my friend. I wish you the best sweetie in all you do. Freestyle never faded it just got push back by people who envy what we work so hard. Never give up on what you really want, unless your not ready for it....😉

MISS TURNER!!!!

GOOD WORDS MAMA.... I LIKE WHAT YOU SAID ESPECIALLY AT THE END.....GOD BLESS........ LOL.... FREESTYLE RULES.....EXOTICA😎

LOST IN LOVE

Christine Turner's song " lost in love" is a true modern-day classic. This has to be one of the hottest songs Ive heard in a long tine. True freestyle flava in here. I would like to thank the people involved with this because there isn't much freestyle that is real any more. the early days of freestyle are not being shown through on todays freestyle songs. It has taken on a new sound and that is what is hurting the artists. CONGRATS Christine a beautiful job on preserving the "art of freestyle."
