was it freestyle or disco? the only song I can think of from the '80s would be NUMBER ONE LOVER (I'M LOOKING FOR NUMBER 1) by AIDA. I used to have the 12" but don't know what happened to it, it was from the early '80s disco days. You may be able to find it on a 80s disco compilation, try norwalkrecords.com or something.
