I was on amazon.uk germany and music stack, and read that she has a new single and album coming out in september.Does anyone know if its gonna be new material?or rereleasing.Since, I dont speak german or japanese it seems like a foreign release with exta track. Also overly priced on music stack.Hopefuly new music, she will bring out in sept.

FRANKIE, SHE SAID SHE WAS WORKING ON NEW STUFF BUT, DID NOT GIVE A RELEASE DATE.THIS CONVERSATION TOOK PLACE IN LANCASTER WHEN SHE PERFORMED ON AUG 31ST.HOPE THIS HELPS

I just came across this on Freestyle Talk......Maybe this is what you're talking about.

lisette melendez workin it up!!!
she's currently working on a nu album basically it'll be a dance/pop album not so much for "freestyle" fans but "freestyle" fans who are open minded! she did a song with carlos berrios but however it's not freestyle from what i've been made aware of. you can check her out via >> http://www.nenemusik.com/lisette_melendez.html

We probably can still order it,but will be expensive because its over seas. The most important thing that she is back, and I plan on supporting her.

Frankie since I saw your post back in Sept, I've had nothing but bad luck trying to find out about her new album.
I'm a big fan of Lisette as well.
Its now October and no word yet on her new album.
It'll suck big time if she only releases it in Japan.
:crap

She's one of my fave artists...so it would be AMAZING if something new was released here in North America...I have her Greatest Hits and it's one of my all time fave cds 🙂

Well Alexia Phillips released her "Greatest Hits" in Japan meanwhile here fan base here in Canada (where she's from) is huge...and we can't get her greatest hits or even her other cd here so go figure :confused

Does anyone know whether or not any future releases by Lisette will be Freestyle or is she going another direction!

Yeah I would love to k now why Alexia Phillips did that lol...but anyways I hope that Lissette's possible new material is freestyle...it would suck big time if it weren't :crap

The reason artists release their music in Japan or Germany (especially dance atists)is that their more appreciated and can sell and be more noticeable. In the U.S.A they dont appreciate good music or music that is different, were more pop like Rap/Hip hop,the u.s tends to be about getting that fast cash with no artistic anything. While Europe and Japan emraces the difference in music. Also Freestyle and Dance music has a face and is treated with respect, unlike u.s which are too afraid to play Freestyle or any dance videos on mtv or radio. In the u.s you are also limited on song list on cd,14 songs at the most unless it's a greatest hits, anthology,or comp.In foreign release you can release 18 or so,which is why the foreign release compared to the u.s release seems so much better(especially when they have extra mixes or songs never released)The fans seem also to be very loyal,so you go were your fans buythe most first, than see if you can reach a larger audience.example,CYNDI LAUPER released a total of 7 full-length albums in both USA and Japan,u.s only first three went platinum,in japan all went platinum plus.So you go were you are most appreciated with the most of sales first.I personally like the foreign releases a 100 times better because of the extra music, only if the u.s were alot smarter and put dance music with a face and play videos, songs on radio, have one of the nominees for dance perfom at grammys or have their own award televised show in u.s(There so much dance categories, its crazy not to).

I feel you Frankie.
You got to go where the demand asks of you.
I don't blame Lisette or any other recording artist for taking care of business.
I just want one cd.Thats it.And if I have to get it as an import, then so be it. :dj
