Kenny you know that it's all about politics over at KTU. Let it be. James will soon get his chance. The station as a whole plays the same recycled songs over and over and people get tired of the same thing all the time. Tommy Nappi is a fair D.J. but he could never f*ck with the likes of "Little" Louie Vega when Louie used to spin freestyle back in the day. It's the same old sh*t at all these radio stations, Holllllllllaaaaaaa

smooth, i could spin with the best in this bizz..i was spinning freestyle back when kenny and louie were spinning it too....i have logged the hours they have logged but i'm not from new york so i don't count and when i had a chance to spin in ny , the guys who had equipment there were coming to the booth saying i need my stuff.....wassup with that????? lol....
louie had a party in philly not to long ago and we had him in the main room and we had old school house in the lounge and the lounge was packed to the walls and louie shut down early and left mad even though he got paid $$$$

put me at partygra and we will rock the house :dancepuff

Lets have DJ Legend and James Anthony and Tommy Nappi each mixing the music

heard james anthony sunday nite on the way home from work.. liked the mix only time i really listen to ktu or radio overall usally ive got my mix cds in my ride otherwise i listen to latino mix on the way in to work "freestyle flashback" at noon .. but on the real KTU plays the same five songs all day long and the same tired freestyle tracks over and over really boring!!

Hey.....speaking of James Anthony.........I heard him on the radio at 3:20! way to go James!!!

LETS GET HIM ON THE PARTY GRAS DJ LIST!

Nothing against James Anthony (he's great and deserves to be one of the d.j.s at Party Gras), but give Tommy Nappi some credit. He's also a great d.j. and has been one of Freestyle's biggest suppporting d.j.'s since the beginning in the 80's. Even when it wasn't fashionable to drop Freestyle in radio mixshows, he did. He was also instrumental in getting acts signed to labels back in the day and often convinced radio programmers to add Freestyle records when they were hesitant to do so.
I agree Tommy definately has my vote I always feel his freestyle sets

I'm just wondering if anybody's really interested in Party Gras at all. Who wants to shell out $30 to see the same artists we've all seen 50 times before at these KTU events? Is it worth it?

Ivan you are absolutely correct, the same old sh*t and recycled line up. It's just a big party to help their ratings, that's all it is. :rasta

Of course they do what is good for them....It is surprising there is no Freestyle support other than their employees Judy and K

last year they had an awesome turn out, and it was mostly freestyle

oh well, what can u do

i dont forget, but i do think when they claim to be nyc's dance music station, they can throw freestyle some support

especially when diane pryor is always talking about how ktu is the only station in nyc to support freestyle...which is totally false!!!

it dont matter, they are corny...even if they played 5 freestyle songs an hour, i wouldnt tune back into them

if i do listen its on sunday night

to be honest with you i would put both of them over my knee and spank them. just for the record i was the one who rocked the crowd at the copa in the main room!!!
