I know that everyone is all hyped about May 30th; Sal's Party at the Copa and Angel's at Latin Quarters. I just want everyone's opinion. How is going to all these parties year after year going to put freestyle back on the map????
We all hang out like it's a family reunion, laugh, joke and reminisce about the good old days. When it's all over we wake up the next afternoon and freestyle is in the same state. I love seeing everyone...... But we all have to admit that sh*ts getting weak. I see that the old school freestyle musicians/producers like MacQuayle, Joe Moskowitz, Andy Marvel, Johan, Peter Schwartz, and the list goes on all are doing work for Madonna, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Gloria Estefan etc.
 
We cant give up brighter days are coming. Nu Image, Manny, Jessica, K7, Ashley, Elissa, Zoe and Latin Nation and Ayna.
 
In reality, I hear what you're saying Smoothie and agree.

These events are for the "Freestyle Community" that still does reminisce about the good ole' days and still appreciate the freestyle music that NEVER came to really surface the way the other music genres have. If certain people still have "hope" for Freestyle, then we can't take that away. In the long run, we will all see where "Freestyle" is really heading to NOW in this age and time.

Kenny!!!! It's the same old recycled shows ova and ova.

I hear everyone. No disrespect to the NuSchool but No one has turned my head yet. O.K. Ashley :idea We need to be more creative and original.
 
I Just wish some of these acts that i been seeing and supporting for more than 15 years would change their show a bit. i'm tired of seeing the same dance moves at every show

I agree, and after having a good time, we look foward to the next year and look at how many people who are new to the scene supporting the music.
 
On the real it aint doign anything for FS, it is just a means for ole school heads to remince and have some fun liek the ole school days when FS made some noise, aside from that it does nothing at all for the FS industry. 🙂
 
its not doing anything for freestyle itself, but for the FANS.......Im happy that we get to see them perform live... even if it is the same songs i dont care when i was younger & freestyle was all over the radio, in the clubs etc... i was so upset cuz i wasnt old enough to even get in a club LOL...
 
I can watch our great artists perform time after time and it's just as awesome each time.
The only think I wish is I was able to make every show.

One great thing about these parties is meeting CF peeps. The peeps that we love.

What it comes down to is... Live and Let Live - & let the freestyle play!

These events just give us a reason to feel nostalgic, When I go to show I don't think this is the show that will bring back Freestyle. I really don't think anyone does including the artist, If they did then they would still be producing more songs than just 3 or 4 a year. It's come to be a known fact THAT Freestyle is truly dead, we as fans just have the right to remember it and appreciate the times we had when it was in it's glory.
