[q]MON A Q came out with "stay in love" (at least i assume it was her song). Listen to Planet soul "music is my life" Notice anything? How many songs had the same sound "Set-U-free" had as well as slowing down and speeding back up near the mid-end of the song? [/q]

don't u remember that MON A Q beat in that old school hip hop record "IM LOOKING OUT THE FRONT DOOR" by MAIN SOURCE (one of my all time fav hip hop records) the producers of LISA LISA's "LET THE BEAT HIT EM" also sampled from that record!!!

yup, thats the first thing i noticed was the main source beat or whoever they sampled it from.
i bought that record not that long ago cuz it was on upstairs records and it was $1. i thought that maybe it might have been an angelina type record. i liked it and kept it.

so you guys consider that freestyle too? wow see i never would have even thought that. see im really trying to open my mind to post 1993-current freestyle by 1) liking it and 2) accepting the different styles as still freestyle.

you guys have shed some light on this for me. thanks.

off to go record digging! although i promised my cousin that he gets 1st dibs on 'newer' freestyle but i guess what he doesnt know wont kill him. i just bought him like 20 records which i regret giving him some cuz they were slamming. but i did keep for myself "buffy - give me a reason", "inner soul - holdin on forever" & "johnny o - runanway love". hee hee hee!
