In Puerto Rico we all celebrate on the Eve of St. John The Baptist (our Patron Saint).
Today is the Eve of St. John The Baptist, on midnight we all have to go to the beach and jump in backwards for good luck.
It brings you good luck all thru the year. Some people make bonfires at the beach and they party and drink and have good time.
It's a tradition that everyone celebrates besides being summer time. All the hotels in Puerto Rico celebrate big parties at the beaches so everyone is invited.
I hear in Spain they also celebrate this one with big bonfires. So I guess its our herritage.
Good luck to everyone and those boricuas outthere remember to go to the beach at midnight :yeey
