im back...one more thing about the term Heart throb.
its true..it was also due to the lyrics that dealt mostly with love.most freestyle records did. some to extremes...like athrobing heart.a throbing beat.
like when you really like someone.
i just remebered that people who used to bash freestyle in miami, didnt know to call it freestyle at that time. they would be mean and call it (dont lough).."puerto rican bubble gum".
But if you ask me.......if freestyle should rally behind the term Hearthrob and re-popularize that name to avoide conflicts with stereotypes and confusing terms with the latinhiphop and freestyle names......and use it also to define those neo-freestyle breaks records now.... im all for it.
The name is nothing new, and actually, freestyle,latinhiphop..its all the same scene.
You would only take a name from the past and now use it to Specifically.
it would be a new use for the term and will grow in popularity through time, while still keeping the freestyle term.
JONPITO, thanks for all the info. I recall a while back that someone had explained to us the true meaning of the word "freestyle" but i couldnt remember who told us. Well, alas....it was you!! I hope this stays up so others can see and learn from this. Thanks again for breaking it down!
Hey Kenny Please tell me you just want to know what others think about it and that you have heard of this "aka" for Freestyle. I like Heartthrob more than I like the Freestyle name but how would ClubHeartthrob sound? :blah
