I'm a huge fan of the original. This one was ok, but it was just too unrealistic. Yeah sure a car driving by itself might've been a stretch back then, but was still cool to dream about. But this one transforms?!?!? and when they was in the back of the truck, it transforms back to the car and the just pop up in the front seat? come on, at least pop em up in the back seat or something or the trunk and have them climb through the back. I'll watch a few more episodes but so far it looks about as cheesy as team knight rider (man that was horrible). Little uknown fact. "Knight Rider has the distinction of being one of the first U.S. television series to utilize popular music throughout the episodes." According to Wikipedia.
 
I actually saw an old Knight Rider episode last night on my local station's HD channel before the new one came on. Let's just say that I swithced back to the Twiglight Zone that was one at athe same time as the new Knight Rider. This new version is more like The O.C. meets Knight Rider.

I liked it. It may have been a bit cheesy & over-the-top at some points, but I enjoyed it. ("Over-the-top" works for me!)

KITT changing was kool. It is the new millenium, I'd assume he should be able to change up. I wasn't expecting it to be like the old show, and I wouldn't
want it to be. They are 2 completely different series, from different eras.
The original is better, but I still enjoyed this one.
 
when I had my first car, I loved knight rider so much I actually put the KITT lights in it! I also had a "p.a." system so it could talk, per say. I miss the 80's!
 
They actually had a 2 hr episode a while back on knight rider, or a few episodes, I forget.. But david hasselhoff is actually the kids father.. In the 2 hr episode that I saw, younger mike was at the cemetary for the death of his mother, and in the background you see david haselhoff.. Then he walks up to young mike and they had a conversation.. I thought that episode was actually very good... You may see him in the new episodes, they may work together, because there is another kit car that hasselhoff used to drive... He was telling young mike at the cemetary they he used to drive for the industry and that there were 2 cars..


But as far as the new one that aired last night, it was not as good as the episode or episodes I saw a while back with hasselhoff making a guest appearance.. Hopefully the show will get better...
 
I saw some of it tonight. its seems good but I dont feel the old vibe to it. Kitt's voice is not coming from the speakers. it sounds as if it is in the actual car itself, as sitting next to him. Then the part where Micheal is carrying a gun. I guess times have changed! I do want to see the 2 hour one that I missed.
 
I don't like Val Kilmer as kitt. I must rather have Mr. Pheeny (if that's how you spell it).

that first show was actually bearable this show with the transformer car that can levitate and the horrible acting .. im afraid the brakes will be applied and it will be cancelled soon

Exactly how I feel... This second show does not even compare to the first one I saw with david hasselhoff making an appearance.. I hope the show gets better.. We will soon find out..

The a-team was the shit back in the day.. If they ever release the seasons on blu ray I am definetly going to buy them...
 
Yeah the 2-hr episode they aired in Feb with David Hasslehoff was better.
But it is the same series. So I guess the 3rd episode is what aired on Monday. To my understanding, David Hasslehoff will be appearing more in the series.
