I've heard the version, it's not as good as the original. Making it a duet between Manny and Willie Valentin just doesn't work as well as it sounds on paper.

Just cause I asked for a MP3 song doesn't mean I don't love the music ok. You act like I'm the only one on this website whose ever asked for a MP3 before. It's sometimes pisses me off how I must of spent thousands of dollars on freestyle cds and the few times I will ask for a MP3 song I get the third degree from people like you telling me "why don't suppose the music I claim to love". Sheesh ... Asking for one, two or even a few MP3s isn't going to mean the end of the world.

Instead of being so up-tight, why not try loosing up for a change. Or better yet just keep your comments to yourself.

Latino, we as a freestyle community are very protective of the artists here. Especially the ones who have joined (like Manny) and have become our friends. When files are traded, they don't get paid. Rhoq is in the music business which is why responded the way he did.

I have approximately 450 freestyle mp3's, and when asked if I will "trade" or "send" a file, I politely refuse. I parted with my money to buy the music, you should be willing to do the same.

As for making comments towards Rhoq everytime he comments on someone, isn't that just a waste of your time?

I'm not even going to front - back in the Napster days I was responsible for creating most of the rare/hard-to-find Freestyle MP3s that still circulate to this day. After talking with artists and producers who expressed to me just how MP3s have hurt them was enough for me to say "fu*k that - I'm not sharing anymore". The funny thing is, I hate the way MP3s sound. Whatever I did share, I created with the sole purpose of helping those in need.

Now that I am on the other side of the business, I know how important it is to protect your intellectual property. One could argue that once you've bought and paid for it, it's yours to do with what you'd like - including ripping as an MP3 and sending it to who ever. Sure, but there is nothing like owning the real thing. I prefer to have a piece of vinyl or CD instead of a compressed audio file sitting somewhere on a hard drive.

Thing that really irks me about all of this is that a lot of people automatically ask for an MP3. It never occurs to them that they should try and find a legitimate way to purchase the song before resorting to MP3s. This is my main problem with the MP3 situation. Being such a small genre of music - Freestyle seems to be the hardest hit and left in the worst shape as a result. While MP3s aren't the entire problem, they are a good portion of the reason why Freestyle is in such bad shape now. It really has to do with Freestyle fans accepting less. Why should a label invest money in pressing CDs when it can be downloaded as an MP3? What money is there to be made when everyone already has the song via MP3? What money is there to invest in a properly pressed CD package? None so if it does get released it's direct to CD-R and the Freestyle that are interested accept it and buy the CD-R. It's a vicious cycle.

Underachieving seems to have become a way of life for Freestyle music. Sad.

and also another thing I Don't get is that I'm cool with alot of artists as well as many are here and on other sites but from a email i got not to long ago stating that they'd never return here because the people were disrespectful to him/her was kind of messed up.. And no less A LEGEND at that!! lol so in my eyes that comment seems pretty meaningless.

I have not disrespected any artists that are members of this site, or any other sites.

As for banning members, if a member goes off the deep end, and is rude to other members, they will be banned.

We had a member here a while ago. A real moron. He had some thing with K-7, a vendetta against him or something. Would come one here and trash him, and make threats. He started saying foul ish about other members. yeah, he got banned.

People who are banned from here are banned for a reason.

and a majority of the times, they come back under different names, thinking no one knows who they are, when the truth is, everyone knows who they are.

If you have issues, with this stuff, that you are bringing up, then why come here? Just don't sign on. But I can see you're online now. So you must like it here on some level.

Wow so much hate for this site yet your back,well atleast according to your name. We do the best that we can on this site, that is why we are still here. When something is on that I don't like on tv or the radio I turn the dial. Its the same concept, if I don't like what is going on @ a site, I don't sign on. It's quite simple.
