failing kindergarten.. that must suck, but its only possible in this 21st century society of ridiculously high standards. same reason why there are university graduates nowadays who still cant find good jobs- cuz expectations now are rising and certain things aren't good enough today. getting back to kindergarten - i have a 4-year-old cousin who is being held back a year because he doesnt really know how to talk 🙂 but i guess if i was a teacher, i'd also hold back a 4-year-old who hadnt yet learned how to talk. kinda sad i think, he's a big kid.

Why hasn't your cousin seen a speech therapist? My son had that problem and when he went to therapy it help him alot.

you have a good point there LMG - i'd suggest that too, but i think it's the stubborn parents being in denial of their son's lack of speech progression that must make them reluctant to see a therapist.
