Lo's 1999 debut, On the 6; the song's lyrics mention the 6-train) and was never intended for release. "It's not a new song, it's not going on the new album, it's nothing," Schweitzer said. "It's a rough mix. It's not even mastered."

Jennifer Lopez is back on the radio — with an old song masquerading as a new single. "(Out) On the Floor" has been making the rounds on the Internet as well as the airwaves, with fans speculating that it's the first taste from the singer's forthcoming album due this fall. The singer's label rep, however, says that the tune is not an official release and won't be on the new record.

The dance song — with a beat sampled from Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam's 1984 breakthrough hit "I Wonder If I Take You Home" — is more poppy than much of J. Lo's recent work, and it describes the mind-clearing benefits of getting lost on the dance floor in a good beat. Lyrics include, "I step into another world/ As soon as I start to dance/ Out on the floor/ It's always been the only place/ When I look to escape/ Baby, you can do the same/ Let your troubles go."

"(Out) On the Floor" started getting spins last week on R&B and hip-hop stations, including KQBT-FM in Austin, Texas; KXJM-FM in Portland, Oregon; WGBT-FM in Greensboro, North Carolina; WWKC-FM in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; WKHT-FM in Knoxville, Tennessee; and KPRR-FM in El Paso, Texas. "This was something that was leaked last week," said Jason Kidd, program director at KQBT-FM, which reported playing the song 51 times between June 17 and 23. "Only a few stations in the country have it. I was told that we had it before the label."

There's no release date yet for Lopez's next album, which she continues to work on in Los Angeles while shooting her next movie, "Monster-In-Law"

i just downloaded it it's alrite not anything to do crazy over...it does sound like a demo...it doesn't emphasize most of it's production on "I Wonder..." but you feel it in there a lil bit.....

Why do u guys hate so much, I think it is a great thing. I'm not the biggest freestyle fan (although probably the biggest in Michigan) but if J-Lo wants to make a freestyle single I say, keep on keepin on... And stop living in the 80's people please, maybe freestyle should take up a new sound for its own good.
 
Just thank God Its J-LO and not Britney Spears! They Say J-lo Grew Up on Freestyle so if she did do a freestyle track it probly would meet freestyle standerds, But rest asure.....she wont make a freestyle song. She dont have the balls. Get readt for a trendy new R&B / Pop song with a Familier hook or melody. (oppoinion)
 
jboyvip is what is why freestyle cant get out of the frickin gutters. You should bow down to J-Lo if she makes a freestyle track. You are absolutely correct is some points though. She is a crappy singer. But she has more fans than all freestyle artists put together. That alone could draw a huge fan base. It seems to me that you are so stuck on how many people Jennifer Lopez sleeps with that you dont understand how huge of a celebrity she is. She might be exactly what freestyle needs. Another thing I have noticed is a lot of people seem to be disapointed that singers are using previous freestyle lyrics. Imitation is the best form of flattery.
 
As Long as she doese it correctly, its all good. Dont want to see freestyle get all twisted up. If shes gonna do a freestyle song.....lets hear some freestyle.

Can you describe the song in detail to the class? , No but seriousely..Im intrested in what it sounds like. Whare did you here it and has it been released already? What other song out therer can you compare it to ...to kind of fill in the holes? I mean is it freestyle-freestyle or a cool lil tune with some freestyle feel to it....you know what im saying..lol HoLla!!

On Kylie Minogue's 2004 Cd release "Body Language" she sings lines from Lisa Lisa's 'I Wonder If I take You Home' . the song is caled 'Secret, Take You Home" she doesnt sample Lisa, she sings it, the song is banging - check it out. The CD has some Freestyle Flavor... check out "Promises Promises" & Still Standing" 80's vibe!
