Does anyone know if this restaurant located in city isalnd is still around? i went there about 2 years ago and really enjoyed it.

Damn I remember that place.... we went there right before I moved to FL .... so don't know if it is still there.... it should be.... good place to eat

The only Jimmy's Cafe I knew of was located in the Boogie Down BRONX. And that doesn't exist anymore. He went bankrupt.

I don't know about City Island. Hmmmmm, I'd have to look into that.

JIMMY RODRIGUEZ, who started with Jimmy's Bronx Cafe near Yankee Stadium and gradually expanded to Harlem and East 57th Street with other Jimmy's restaurants, has opened JIMMY'S CITY ISLAND, serving seafood with Latin and Asian touches in the former King Lobster. -- Florence Fabricant From "Off the Menu," The Times, 8/6/03.

I found this online so I guess if they answer the phone, they are still their......

Uh, I hope the person who asked for this information hasn't left to go there yet, cause Jimmy's is no longer on Fordham Rd. nor in City Island. His Downtown place is closed also. He is no longer in the Food business. At this time he is supposedly expecting a child with Actress Michael Michelle ( Kevin Hill ) and pursuing other interrests.....

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Well I guess he'll find that out like we did last year before LQ's! Took us 2 weeks to decide where to meet on 53rd right? So we decide and on the night of the show we pull up there in the cab and the damn place was CLOSED! :lol

Needless to say we had to make phone calls and then decide where else to meet at. What a fiasco!
