Yesterday it came out in a San francisco paper that Jason Giambi told a jury that he did use steriods. The next day, Barry came clean in the jury that he used a cream that later turned out to be steriods!

This is what many wanted to hear. What will this do to baseball?

A COUPLE YEARS AGO BARRY WASNT THAT BIG. NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN HE IS INCREDIBLE HULK! DUH...... :yoomg

I hope the Yankees dump Giambi. When he showed up in Spring Training looking like a totally different guy, everyone knew something was up. I never wanted the Yankees to get him, and this just makes me attitude towards him stronger.

you're right joe... Pete's supposed illegal doings benefited himself.... guys using steroids makes them hit more homeruns which is good for baseball..... 🙂

im a huge baseball fan and it kills me see to this happen to my favorite sport. Barry Bonds, Jason Giambi and all others who used steroids or other drugs should be striken from the record books as though they never played. The real culprite in all this is Bud Selig for not having a tougher drug testing policy and for not having a spine.

Guys hitting home runs because there on steroids its not good for baseball. I would like to think that real baseball fans are out there but their probably all old or died. The game of baseball is great and I dont need to see a home run every time a player steps up to the plate. If you or anybody out there needs that than your not really that good of a fan. Bonds and Giambi have just ruined the integrity of baseball by using steroids. I mean whats real or not real when it come to anything a hitter does in baseball anymore.

Like it or not, baseball isn't a fan's sport, and hasn't been for a while now. Giambi and Bonds may be fined, or even striken from the record books like mr freestyle said...but they'll still have all that money, which it what it's really about

is steroid use in baseball really that surprising???? u think Mark McGwire or Jose Canseco weren't roided up????? so what????? I love baseball, in fact it's the only sport I follow..... but in the grand scheme of life who cares if these guys use steroids & they end up hitting more home runs..... good for them..... what's more important to me about baseball is the sad fact that A-Rod makes more money than my daughter's 4th grade teacher..... 🙂

Giants are the bomb..but..bonds is such a liar..so obvious

You guys are seriously missing the point its scary. The integrity of the game is on the line and the innocense of watching athletes compete with their natural ability is what makes sports so great and thats why we invest so much time and emotion in following our favorite sport and team. I mean when the Cubs lost to the Marlins in the 2003 playoffs I couldnt do anything that whole week thats how upset I was. Yes in the grand scheme who cares about anything any athlete does in sports but we do care. Complaining about athletes and the money they make is a waste of time. Does your daughter's 4th grade teacher know how to hit a curveball or know how to deal with the pressure of millions of people watching every move thats made and all the critcism that athletes take or does he or she have millions of people watching her or him do her job?. I would guess NO. A teacher is far more valuable than any athlete of course but not when it comes down to the all mighty dollar athletes have millions and the owners have billions and there is no point in complaining about it. If you really love the game of baseball like you say you do, you would care that the players are using illegal substances and tearing the reputation of the game. All Baseball has its history like no other sport baseball relys on its history. Now if this era of baseball has been one big lie like I think it is, than whats the point of watching anymore. If I wanted to see steroid monsters I would watch wrestling or body building competitions but I wouldnt because I dont have any emotion invested in it. Well I guess im in the minority when it come wanting to watch real competition and not a lie.
