I didn't know you guys were joking. OPPS
:nah :nah :nah lolol that's ok, I mean the thread does raise a few issue, but I am not about to blame the japanese or anyone else, with the away my kids turn out..lol, if i was going to do that, I would blame thier father!..LMAO!😉

It's just a "figure of speech" since we all know that most things are invented by japanese! 😉 But I know when to be "mommy" and set that butt straight when my son thinks he can overpower me! :mad But hey there is truth to my part on Japanese being very strict with their own children and not allowing their kids to the things that american children do. They are raised totally different in Japan. But it was just conversation piece and not anything to upset anybody including you Latino. :heee So :cheers up! Okay?

I don't think that. It's all up to the parents to put restrictions on when their kids are allowed to play with games. Like some of you put restrictions which is great.

But I don't like to hear when parents say their kids are fat blah blah blah, and blame everyone else. They should look at themselves. Don't have the games, T.V. babysit your kids. Let the kids play outside, play board games, read, like we all did. I laugh when I hear parents get upset because their kids are always playing games. Damn, whos the parent.

Sorry had to vent. I'm not saying is you guys I just hate it when parents complain so much. S**t be a damn parent.
I was only goofin' about the Japanese stuff....... I agree w/ u 100% Latinocop...... it's completely the parent's responsibility......... 🙂

Coming from a kid who use to play Nintendo (at the age of 17) I know exactly what it is to be addicted to these games and how they affect everything. I was an expert at the Mario Brothers (the first one). My cousins and my sisters we would brag about how I got past this level and the other one and how to get this and that (without the cheat books). Our parents had to put restrictions on these games in order for us to enjoy other things too.

I do the same with my son, when I get home from work I let him ride his bike until sundown (he does his homework with the babysitter). After that he can play video games only after he has helped with the chores in the house.

So yes LatinoCop you have a very point there anyway. 🙂

Hey, those game systems can be a blessing at times... (like when you want to hold a grown up conversation on the phone without yelling at one of the kids, because you know they need something when you're on the phone).

My poor kids only play on weekends and every other at that because they go to their father's house every other weekend.

I do allow them to play for about an hour or two on the two weekdays that I have them straight from my 1st job (when I'm off from my 2nd).

Confession here... I love video games myself... Does anyone remember Atari? That was the game system in my day. lol

I remember Atari. And I liked it back then when I was young but didn't play it too much. It just could never hold me there for too long. But Atari was the sh*t! :lol

For my situation, its great for my son. He has ADHD and basically when he is off his meds, the playstation is the only thing that calms him done. With a child with ADD or ADHD, there mind is going 100 miles per hour and put him in front of a playstation and that calms him down!

Well so far so good with my lil' man & HIS X-box(cuz he will let you know that it's HIS...LOL)...there were maybe 2 times that he really wanted to play but it was at like 7:30 in the morning, but he was sick so I let him. Once school starts he'll be on a schedule with it but for now i just let him have his fun.

well i blame my ex husband for corrupting our son. he plays the games so naturally my son started to. granted my son is only 6 yo. he owns the gameboy advanced and the new gameboy sp, ps2 and ps1. i bought him 3 gameboy games and 2 ps2 games for xmas. any gift giving occasion all he wants r video games.
he has numerous games.
