Has anyone else been listening to KTU lately?

I know the lineups have been changing, but does it seem the music is changing as well?

I've been hearing less of the "pop" stuff and R&B and ballad remixes. I'm hearing different songs is rotation. Just today, I heard "One More Time" by Real McCoy, "More & More" by Capt. Hollywood Project, and "Big Fun" by Inner City. It's been a long time since I last heard those.

Even some of the freestyle songs are changing. I recently heard in regular rotation "For Tonight" by Nancy Martinez, "Baby Talk" by Alisha and "Honey To A Bee" by Tina B. (I know some peeps debate whether or not those last two are freestyle, but they are "freestylish" so I count them.)

I sent an email to Vic Latino regarding the changes and let him know I liked hearing the different songs, and that I hope that we can count on new freestyle being added.

Holey crapper. Dag, I remember those tunes!!! And "Rhythm Of The Night" lol 😀

I wonder if they are replacing freestyle with these old pop songs though. 🙁

Chuck, your right! i too have notice the change, it's definately becoming more dancey - they seem to be playing more rarely heard freestyle classics, more disco & some of the older dance/club songs.

i've been enjoying ktu a bit more lately !

The week I was in NY..I heard alot of dance?
Matter of fact on our way to Bliss, Tony(tka) and I
were discussing just that, they were playing..
"One More Time"! He blasted the radio! It was awesome

Yeah there has been more dance, but how long is this going to be? I mean I know there trting to make up for the fact that they cut the freestyle show by putting more in rotation. Hopefully they won't go back to their old ways after some time.

As for Julia, she's on the weekends 10-2 shift and I listen while at work, and she's ok. I'm just wondering do we really need another Lopez sister at that station? I mean don't get me wrong, Lynda's cool and all, but now that 2 of them are there I don't want it to become more of a J-Lo station....LOL
