Radio is just like any business:

if you keep selling the same product with no change: people will eventually stop buying it.

instead of adam marano going under the same name for so long, he switches so he can sell himself over and over again. the radio stations may hear a good song but see its an old artist and pass on it.

but, when he releases a good song under a different name, the stations wont recognize the name and start playing it, giving new life.

come one, collage released his single in 1994/5 and Z100 played it.

do you think Z100 would have played his music under ADAM MARANO or TPE?

i think at the time of his comp it was a good idea, he was giving the market what they wanted, I had no problems with it, but i will go on record and say his best stuff was tpe, but i can't say it was the worst material i ever heard

ok i can understand your point for one name change...but so many on the same album???

i am going to have to agree with Gornicevo reason for his many alias's...he wants to make it seem like his company has a lot more artists then they really do
 
Well, I was unaware of the alias all on one album, but if you referring to his "greatest hits", that's because it was just that: a compilation. It was a collection of his greatest work under all the different performers.
 
ugh no i am not talking about his hits...u mean the album i wasted 17 bucks for with a bunch of cheesy remixes of his songs...nope not that one

i am talking about his metro comps

they are metro comps...all songs were recorded at the same time...he just put diffrent names for singers on the diffrent songs

like u know micmac...say mickey sang the parts of suave johnny o, tonasia, and charlie rock...and he just listed the songs under thier names

yes, but he sang the songs and released the songs under thier appropriate names. Metro just released them as they were recorded with thier proper credits.

another reason for the multiple names is perhaps different people possibly worked with him under varius artists, thus different names were needed.

for instance, under "adam marano" A,B & C worked with him. then under TPE, D, E & F worked with him. then under collage, G, H & I worked with him.

I dont think the same people worked with him under all his projects.

As for Adam, I worked with him a few times when we were both signed onto MicMac, and he is truly a funny and nice guy. I like alot of his stuff, some I don't, some I have never heard of. See if I like a song,cool, if I don't, that's cool too, I go ontot he next one. I don't go into the dynamics of the person or why this or that. Don't think he is either overrated or underrated. I think he just goes out like all of us and tries to make his money, ain't nothing wrong with that😉
