I have PHILIPS CD recorder on my home stereo system. 🙂


I used my computer to play and work, not listen to music!
 
If I'm going to purchase a single or full-length CD, it's only because I like the artist a lot and I am familiar with the their material.

In the meantime, I'll download and burn away (especially if it's one song that I truly like).

I have no quarrels with it.....some are for it, and some are against it. I'm all about it.

Oh yeah, and by the way, I've spent hundred's of dollars in the past, and I don't even play half the stuff I own. I've paid my dues.
 
I burn and will keep burning, call me cheap, unsupportive or plain ol' smart. If i know that a friend has a CD that i like, you better believe i'm borrowing it so i could burn it. And no i don't feel guilty, why... cause i do in fact show my support when i go to the freestyle events.
 
I stopped buying CD's for one reason. Most CD's only have a few good Songs. Some are too slow, some the rythym just seems to juvenile. And then there are others that really dont need to be in the business at all when it comes to singing.
So what I have opted to do is burn only Mixes.

Now I'm not going to say I haven't burned my flex of Freestyle Music. Why lie? I will even go as far as saying that I even have a few of the artist that post here daily. Do I Share these files? Some, but to a point where if I do give an MP3 to a friend here it's in the amount of one song per artist on that
CD.

Reason: In the Army, there reside many Freestyle lovers (Hispanics) that love the music but cannot find it. And dont say Internet because the average soldier does not always have the Internet. Nor the means to get it. Like say those on Deployment.

Back to what I do burn for peeps. Whole CD mixes. When they ask who the singer was for a certain Song, I'll tell them. I'll even go as far as saying, "You know, if you want to meet or chat with them on a daily bases, you can catch up to them here at this address." (God only knows how many times i've used Nyasia's name as examples.)

But they ask. Which means this, if they like the song, that will make them go look for it or BUY the CD in a Store they can get to.

Speaking of Mixes, I would like to thank DJ Latin Rascals for those awesome SoundFX mixes, DJ Mixtress of SF, Calli for her awesome job in mixing up some fabulous ish on the vinal skillet. And last but not least, Our Freestyle Artists. For putting out some of the coolest ish a mix can make sound 10x more awesome!

Alot of burners & people in this thread are cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Going to an event is not th same in buying a cd, their two differet things and you guys wonder why their stuff is not ithe store?????DUH...

And Kenny, I do that as well... I buy an original (any type of music) and then copy it because when me and my kids are done with it in my car.. forget about it... it's all scratched up... time to recopy it again. lol

Dont know what Library you hang out in but the libraries I've been to don not support the ability to download or burn. Furthermore being that a Library is a Govt Building (City, State, Federal) the Computers that are set up in those facilities are set on "Profiled" settings not letting the ability to download and or add programs to the PC. So what library are you seeing downloads at??
