Yeah which is another thing...the only American freestyle they recognize it Lil Suzy, Rockelle and Stevie B, yes they are great artists but there are so much more...the 360 tour cd was released this year with songs by Nu Image, an AMAZING song by Stephanie Pinedo, the Freeze cd was released this yeah...so there is def no lack of freestyle...some people either don't know what they are really talking about or just don't want to admit the obvious

public outcry what public outcry? the cover on my home page on www.tonymonacoradio.com is the cd cover which will be instores on tuesday oct. 21st. Here's some questions for ya - how many units of planet frestyle have been sold? what was the paid attendance at the lil suzy-shannon fiasco? what was the paid attendance at the planet madness show? how many people attended the rockell concert at palazzo and how many people saw her and another act get booed at an all ages event the following night. we have a serious problem with the way freestyle has been promoted over the past few months and some serious remarketing has to take place or the tdot will end up like every other city. it's important that this industry evolves and that's what the invasion is doing just like partymania just like summer rush. trust me the frestyle massive will be reprented and the freestyle peepulation will hear the gino beats loud and proud. For the record Feestyle Heaven 5 outsold FH 4 which is a postivie thing but only one freestyle song has been added to rotation this year and that's joee's better than you. last year 5 were added. Also the frestyle frenzee show on Z had it's highest ratings this past year. so the dream is still alive but live shows have certainly taken a beating. i also hate being mis-quoted. when somebody makes reference to something from my site let's make sure it's accurate or a direct "quote" is used.
 
I'm really surprised that FHV5 out sold FHV4 dayum even the 7 copies I bought of FHv4 didn't make an impact lol 😛

Here is a question back: What is being done to further promote this quality product and give it a fair chance on shows like the frenzy on the airwaves or concerts like Invasion III???

The new Planet Freestyle CD is the best new school freestyle to hit the shelves for a LONG time. Why not support it on the Frenzy? How many units of Planet Freestyle have been sold? I can't believe you ask that question when you haven't supported it with airplay. I understand that it's not a CD sponsored by you, as are the SPG releases, but where is the love for your hometown talent... the Phillips family, Zoe, Dimi, Alison, and all the new talent on that CD.. keep in mind Chris Phillips produced one of the tracks on your FH5 CD (arguably the best track on that CD). Also perhaps if you noticed, there are great songs by west coast artists Natalise, songs by Sharyn Maceren, Freeze, great stuff that you skip and play old Stevie B tracks remixed instead.

planet frestyle has received ample support on the frenzee with weekly airplay of 4 approved tracks from the comp. a few even charted on my weekly show but have since disappeared due to lack of requests. odeon also bought thousand of dollars worth of adds to promote the cd and the freestyle show. i'm just stating the facts. not a great turnout and the cd has only sold less than 600 copies at retail not including what chris sells in the back of his car and through the internet and possible overseas lisencing of tracks. the station sees these numbers and it doesn't compell them to support music from a cd with such low sales. sorry i'm not on this site often but Jack had emailed and asked why me and elissa haven't been around. so here i am informing the frestyle peepulation. amazing music always rises to the top despite people crying the blues about this and that. try cracking the playlist on KTU in new york or anywhere else in america. i think z does an awesome job in promoting local talent but hey it's impossible to play everything just becaue it's local and canadian content. we do what we can. less hostility would be nice from some people. it was nice to hear from some cf'ers that emailed me at monaco@z1035.com. last week. take care and support what ever frestyle lives in your hearts and minds.
 
well I know that they have been playing the planet freestyle artists on latino mix (NYC) since last weeks performances...and they have been playing zoe down there for a while..she even appeared on the bad boy joe new generation cd...and i go to nyc often and most freestyle fans when asked name a canadian freestyle artist they say...either i dunno or dimi and/or zoe...makes u wonder why the 2 named in NYC are not even on regular rotation in their own city....
 
less than 600 PF copies sold? obviously must be because there isn't enough advertising going on, i've heard so far about 2 PF commercials on the radio compared to like 50 of FH-5. odeon must try harder i guess unless we all try and tell people about the cd ourselves.
gina - good point about dimi & zoe. but im surprised they didn't mention elissa, i thought she'd be more famous since she's been around way longer.
 
yeah I thought the same thing....but the song she is known by down there is "show me how you love me" nothing else...yet most fans can name of dimi and zoe songs...
 
oh.. ok and thats a pretty old song. it figures then i guess, good for dimi & zoe.
