I remember Afrika Bambataa competing in a DMC Battle of the DJs at Chicago's Rainbo Roller Rink in 1982-83 or so. I was hired by Tony Bitoy to help judge. Afrika mixed with boa-type arm thingys. He was like a wrestling character...
