Inner Dilemma

I know that look on your face
I’ve witnessed it far more than just one day
You are becoming that man
That human being who does understand
I need time to think it through
Certainly I don’t wanna hurt you
You deserve nothing but the best
My heart could only offer you the rest
I’ve even pictured our love
It would be a blessing from up above
You would erase my dark past
And maybe with you this time it will last
But then his face comes to m mind
I let go and start to cry
I’ve been told once again
That you’re the perfect lover and the perfect friend
That its time to let go
Erase all my doubts and lose control
I don’t want to break your heart
I need to make sure before we start
Honest to God I’m confused
With you I feel love and with him I feel used
Still in my heart I hold on
Cause he asked me to always be strong
A part of me wants to break free
But I have faith in what I can’t see
......still.....

I’ll see you tomorrow again
And maybe you’ll become more than my friend​
