I haven’t been feeling well
Not that I think you’ll care
I’ve been crying myself to sleep at night
Just thought I’d make you aware
My every thought has been of you
You’re with me all the time
And never once did I believe
I’d be without you in my life
How could I have been so blind?
I was a fool who couldn’t see
That you are everything I want
Why did I set you free?
I guess the answer is something that
I’ll never know for sure
So I’ll continue to live my life
With this pain that has no cure
I’m still holding on to memories
Of the love that we once knew
The dreams we shared, the times we cared
When I gave my heart to you
To reflect upon what we once shared
Is something I shouldn’t do
Cause that’s the time I realize
That I’m still in love with you
I know I’ll care about you
Forever and a day
And for you to be filled with happiness
Is what I ask for when I pray
Sometimes I sit and wonder if
You’ll forgive me for what I’ve done
Or will you hate me for eternity
Cause you thought I’d be the one
I know that it will take some time
For this broken heart to mend
But all the pain would go away
If I could hold you once again
If only you could realize
That all I do is cry
I want things back the way they were
When you were by my side
But now it seems we’ve drifted apart
You’ve gone your separate way
I put the blame upon myself
Since I let you slip away
So I’ll keep holding on my love
Until we once again meet
With open arms and a loving heart
For without you I’m incomplete
