Cold rainy night,
you're all I can think about.
Wishing to be in your arms,
keeping me safe and warm.
Snuggled up so close together
I feel your every breath.
Looking at you,
I am amazed.
Gazing slowly over your body,
I take it all in,
as though seeing it for the first time.
Soft hair I love running my hands through.
Eyes so gentle and loving -
the doorway to your soul.
Strong broad shoulders,
powerful arms that envelope me so tenderly.
Lean torso,
muscular chest where I lay my head,
listening to the beating of your heart.
Long fingers that give such pleasure,
as well as drive me wild with desire.
I focus on your face again,
noticing a trace of a smile.
Mesmorized by lips that work magic,
I find myself smiling.
Glancing over your body one last time tonight,
I move in closer to you,
instinctively you hug me tighter.
Inhaling your scent,
I smell your soap and shampoo.
Relaxed, content and happy,
I drift off to sleep in the most perfect way:
in your arms.
