Yes, it's me..."Long Island" Scott back from the dead! 'Sup peoples? Damn... forgive me but I thought Freestyle completely died. How could I have been sooooooo dumb?!?!?! FREESTYLE LIVES ON!
Back in the day, my bro "Krazy" Kent, my bud "Phresh" Phil, and myself, would lay mix after mix down for all the masses. Those were the days. Goin' toe to toe with Chris Walsh and the KISS Club. Sweet memories for sure. Anyways... a little about myself. I've been into Freestlye since late 1986 (or so). Around 1987 I formed a DJ company - along with the previously listed poeple - dedicated to the art and presentation of Freestyle mix called M.T. Entertainment. What did M.T. stand for? MASTERS OF TURNTABLES! 😎 We did many shows in my local area...mostly dance parties. I mix very conservatively. I don't go for a lot of that "cutting in" or special efx stuff. My mixes are clean and fluid - like a fine wine or a piece of art work. (really....I do not have a big head, LOL!)
Well, nice to meet everyone here. Time to brush the dust off my turntables and break out the vinyl once again! Keep it real!
(no, I am not from Long Island. I got this name from dinking too may Long Island Iced Tea's back then!😉 )
