feeling you
whenever your gaze
fell onto me
in the brief moments
of a time

the heart-notes
of a young girl
who believed
she was in love
with a boy
who had her captivated
with the visions
in his eyes

onto pages
of poetry
trying
so desperately
to hold on
to the fading memories
that have been buried
deep within my heart

leaving the chances
behind
