Wow!!! Sometimes it's a Greatest hits CD, sometimes it's a album, and now it's again a Greatest Hits which it seems to be released.
So, Elear could you do a favor for all the Freestyle community: ASK to someone of TKA to post a message on this subject...and I'm sure the rumors go away!!!

Damn, you are absolutely right! I totally forgot that Kayel and Joey Gardner who started the rumors last summer.
But do you think that it was the real Kayel & Joey who sent some messages on the different boards? LOL.
Now, I have some doubts. Just kidding!!!

Also Joey Gardner is not part of the project anymore. So, I can pardon him. 🙂))
But as for Kayel, it's more difficult. 🙂))
I thought that his different posts were sincere?

All this mess for a Greatest Hits compilation!!! What a waste of time!!!

And the worst part of this project, it's that we have to wait the summer for "maybe" a single and "maybe" a compilation. Ridiculous, isn't it?

It sure would be nice if TKA underwent a complete makeover.Its so tiresome to hear the same old cliche type lyrics from the 80`s/90`s.Same old subject matter and predictable patterns.It makes me feel like Daym,here we go again.I loved TKA`s style and quality.But since their beginning just about every style and progression they made has been copied,over done,and retracked by several cheap freestyle artists claiming to be true old schoolers.
What made TKA and Joey Gardner so badd ass is that they we leaders in the industry.True innovators making music no ones ever made before.That last release(when will I see you)was good by puny freestyle standards.But terrible on the open market and to the ears of Radio programmers and producers alike.What happened to the TKA that created their own sounds and strived to be different?Have they vanished only to be replaced by planet patrol loops and wanna be pop with that already been done sound.

I dont understand why TKA is releasing another greatest hits, they are gonna have the same material they had on their 1st greatest hits album. and with only 2 new tracks? dosent make any sense to me.

hey... i thought they broke up cuz one of the guys from tka... I thought his name was anthony or something... i'd have to look at the cd to remember his name... well i live in philly and when kayel used to come here alot as k7 he'd do a dedication to the one that died... i guess that was false
 
Brand New Album

They are absolutly putting together a brand new album. A GREATEST HITS album is not likely. The idea for a 2nd greatest hits album was not TKA'S idea but Joey Gardner's. They will be back MARK MY WORDS. THEY WILL BE BACK

Listen its about time u guys realize that is all kayel and joey gardner is after$$$$$$$!!!! AMEN God has actually blessed u people with some knowledge...and plus they also destroyed tka and KILLED freestyle for money...so they decide to do this reunion thing because K7 cant make money on his own...if he could then we would be seeing K7 and the swing kids doing a reunion!!!!! so we waited a year for a comp album with two new singles, LMAO we really are a desprate PEOPLE!!!!! how many comps can i have with one way love on it, what will this be number 1000000!!!! anyway i hope u guys enjoy it...and i hope it does something for freestyle, but u better hope it doesnt give kayel to much fame, cause then once again freestyle will be abandoned!!!!! defend the ones that deserve it like cynthia thats the one i can say gave her heart to the style and she just keeps on giving!!!!!!!

I have alot to say so please sit back relax and enjoy yourself. My name is Tyree "TyBless" Furman, Head of the TKA Management and Production Team: Project Lex, Inc.
Many of you are under the impression that TKA is about to release another compilation project. Sure, as of last May at our intitial reunion, that was the marketing strategy and approach we were taking. I also see that plenty of you are implying greed as a motive for the fact that we were trying to go that route. Well, I think you have it twisted and obviously you have little respect for the art form(You Know who you are). I'm sorry to inform you that negotiations between TKA's long time producer Joey Gardener have ceased(Although the new album will contain some of his contributions). However, at the end of every rainbow there lies a pot of gold and hopefully platinum.
We have since recorded a brand new album as of today, 14 cuts deep and are negotiating with various distributers on forming our own independant label as well as sifting through many recording offers from various companies. This spring we will, much to the delight of REAL TKA fans release a brand new single. The titles will be either "K's Theme" "In A Manner" or "Sexual Fantasy"...The tracks are so hot we will have to just ask you to decide. The New Album Title as of now is simply titled "Forever" I appologize to hardcore freestyle fans who might be stuck in the past with the whole Planet Rock thing but other than the Joey Gardener inspired "When Will I See You Again(Electro Mix)" we offer no total old school freestyle. We are now moving forward with what we think TKA Music should sound like in the year 2001. A very grown up and mature TKA has surfaced as a result and I'm sure you will find the album absolutely amazing and ground breaking. We promise as pioneers of our craft that this time we will be the ones policing this music so that the ones who are following this movement will be as tight as we are and better.
We didn't kill freestyle like it was previously suggested. We did not saturate the market with half assed music. We only did the best music that TKA knew how to do. Things change, sounds change, styles change. We live, and we grow from our experiences. We learn from our mistakes. We like everyone else are only human. I really can't take anyones opinion and turn them around with one passage, so maybe my presence is needed in these forums so I can keep you all abreast of the new things that's going down with TKA. David "Roscoe" Edmonds is a close friend of mine and I usually fill his ear with the latest news. His information about TKA are usually very accurate, so you can trust his word. Other than that it would have to be Tony, K7, Angel or myself..TyBless who will be giving you the real on your favorite group.
Thank you for keeping hope alive and keeping the thoughts of TKA in your hearts, we promise to lead the comeback of your favorite kind of music, and we promise to deliver you the newest stars to keep it moving for generations to come.

lmao toni!!! too funny! i havent seen kayel perform with the swing kids in years. however at the freestyle reunion show i did c "prophet" of the swing kids setting up the mics for tka lol. damn. anywayssss its nice to c kayel back with tony and angel! freestyle r&b whateva theyre gonna be dropping i hope its good!
 
Finally!

I'm glad to hear that the album will consist of brand new songs. I hope that "the TKA sound in the 2001" will have atleast a little bit of Freestyle in it, not that R n B crap. Thank god there will be no more abused planet rock beats.
 
OK so what u are saying is if u are a "real tka fan" then you will just love tka no matter what the fans have been put through!!!! please dont condem us freestyle fans for speaking our minds, u cant blame us...we just want our music to become popular and respected again...and yes the comment about tka killing freestyle is true!!! do u know ur freestyle facts??? no u didnt saturate the so called music industry with crap music...but u must admit once tka left freestyle was down the tubes...also another factor that killed freestyle was hot 97 changing its airplay to a rap/r&b format...but isnt that the same radio station that employed k7 shortly after the change of format???? and u are telling me that a lot of k7's record sales werent do to old freestyle fans...please put everything together and u will see kayel and gardner had a huge hand in the death of freestyle...kayel saw a way to make more money, so he abandoned his fellow group members and all of the FREESTYLE LOVERS OUT HERE!!!! So its about time us freestyle fans woke up and realized that...since the only freestyle song that is on the album is going to be that one cut, then that is a shame that u would do that to the fans!!! u hype this freestyle nation up for a year with some sort of tka release and then u pull well we arent doing freestyle anymore, PLEASE!!!! dont go for the free advertising!!!!!! and no YOU ARE THE ONES THAT HAVE LITTLE RESPECT, LITTLE RESPECT FOR THE FREESTYLE PEOPLE AND LONG TIME TKA FANS!!!!! sorry being a true fan doesnt mean u support everything someone does, even if its WRONG!!!!! and how are u going to "Lead the come back of our favorite kind of music" if u arent cutting freestyle tracks???????????????? and for the comment we are stuck in the past, well that was the only time when there was quality music being released, and if this is some kind of attempt to copy the ricki maritn, enrique sound then all i have to say is OH GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who am I?
I was there when K decided to do a more mainstream album.
I was there when the album was being cut. I have for years (Since 1992) produced written and been everything from an assistant to my current post as Manager of K7 and TKA.
You have your opinions and I respect that.However I have the facts and you should listen, so you can know the real truth as opposed to spewing your bogus opinion of K or Joey on these pages.
What I don't respect is that your trying to tell me how we live our lives and what goes down and how we think and everything else that we do...when I am telling YOU. I didn't once say we were not going do freestyle music. Honestly what exactly in your opinion(toni) is freestyle music? Who makes the rules? TKA makes music. Industry types label it and do whatever it takes to categorize music so they can have some thing tangible to understand. TKA will be TKA. The music weather you want to call it freestyle or not will be TKA Music and again like I said..The REAL TKA FANS will know and appriciate the album.
The TKA formula will be as usual love songs over very dancable and hot beats. If that makes it wrong then I'm sorry to disappoint you. We do us. You do you. TKA Music. Freestyle Music. Good Music.

That will be all. I will not go back and forth with you on your opinion of what we do. :0) I will however think of the people like you who make creating music less inventive and confining when freestyle in it's newest form brings it back to the mainstream. Thank You to the real TKA FANS we will not let you down.
Please do not mistake musical growth for abandonment.

I would buy the TKA album even if its not Freestyle. I luved K7 and The Swing Kids. So regardless if its Freestyle or not,I'd buy it.
