Thanks to Jack G I'm finally in. Born & raised in Toronto, Canada where freestyle still pumps(not as much as the late 80's) I have been listening to freestyle since I heard Planet Rock, Spring Love , etc. just like everyone else. The freestyle scene now days sucks especially in Toronto, but I do have to give credit that at least they are trying to keep it alive. It sounds very euroish, popish, commercial type of sound not like the latin, break beat kind of natuaral sound. Let's all hope that the producers out there can still produce that type of music as a different mix like for example a you can have a EURO MIX, LATIN MIX, NEW YORK MIX, and of coarse a MIAMI MIX for one song and I know it probably would cost more but at least more people can agree to apprieciate the song.
I have been collecting some 12" vinyl but it is becoming to expensive as the Canadian dollar is low to the US dollar. Some of these records I see out there like Mike Arce "Tender Love" and Hot 2 Trot "Stop Playing With My Heart" are going for $100 US that's nuts but those are true freestyle jams (oh and I can't forget Joey C "All I'm Asking" and so many more rare jams).

That's my 2 cents
