Destiny is such a bitch
You can throw away words like fate
And hearing ‘love’ just makes me sick
And I can’t stand the word soul mate

Love really doesn’t exist
It should never be explored
Love is something you shouldn’t persist
Believe me I won’t anymore

Why do people continually try
To make relationships work
Why do people wonder why
After they go through all the hurt

Why bother to love someone
Knowing the love will end
Why think that there’s ‘that one’
Who will be your lover and your friend

Why even go through pain
What’s the use of it all
When problems arise, each other’s to blame
When you’re headed for that fall

Everyone is selfish, nobody cares
It’s the way that people are
And everyone thinks that it's so fair
To leave each other with love scars

I love you and you love me
Is all a bunch of shit
Eternity and endlessly
I won’t be part of it

Taking walks and holding hands
Is something of the past
Seeing couples making their plans
Makes me want to laugh

Nobody really stays together
No matter what they do
Nothing ever last forever
I’m simply stating the truth

So I’ll keep it safe, this heart of mine
It’s my one and only friend
I’ll protect it until the day I die
Which means I’ll never love again

Sometimes as I look at the one who I thought is my soulmate I wonder why things don't go the way I imagined. Now after all this time things aren't what I had hoped and I read your poems and realize that I am not the only one who hurts. I hope to one day find the love that I so long for. As I hope that one day you do too.

Damn papi...What happened???..You must tell me..Not too long ago you told me about your loul mate and love..You cant mean this..🙁..This poem is of course beautiful just like the others..always deep..keep it up
 
hey crystal, yes i HAD a soul mate, wrote as many poems as i could. but i've come to realize that is all in vain. it's pointless to wish her back. she's not coming back, and she never will. life's a bitch. and by the way. i have 2 more poems in the works. SEPTEMBER PART II, AND A DAY IN MY LIFE. they should be finished soon. i posted SEPTEMBER PART I. it's somewhere on here. sept. part 2 will be the same concept going through the seasons. as for A DAY IN MY LIFE. that is like this poem. not really a sad love poem. it's sad. but in a different way. anyway, take care.

This poem is so good it makes sense becasue i have been in so many bad relationships i love it keep on writing good stuff like this
