oh i had to get into this one by accident...first of all MJS did not say that bambatta started freestyle...he merely indicated that the planet rock beat was started by him....producers then took the beat and used it in alot of these so-called freestyle (BKA DANCE)
songs.


if u read carefully taezee...he just wanted to know as well as many people want to know who came up with this label "freestyle" you say it was a group of people that did it...but no one ever took into consideration that most of these artists did not appreciate the category and just had to go along with it anyway and now deal with the fact that this is all that people want to know them as (not fair!!)

personally i never saw this category in billboard....so as u can see none havegone platinum under this category and the only category that u will see in billboard or any type of music award is dance or pop.

All I can say is if your not hapy with TKA Forever, return it, and spend your energy and money on something worthy to your own heart. Trying to convince others about how they feel is useless and using your energy to spread hate is senseless... there are many other things you should be worrying about right now. But to the so many of you who are spreading love,continue to do that because love is all we need.

the subject above, tybless has nothing to do with not liking tka or any of the artist...it's trying to establish an answer to a real simple question that nobody can answer....and yes even reading what they posted in the lobby doesn't say much...only the history on all of the artist that came out during that period....


if we did not enjoy the music, we would not have anything to say or talk about...(excluding the real haters) i just felt i had to clarify on that.

BECAUSE WHAT I HAVE READ, THROUGHOUT THE YEARS ABOUT THE WAY FREESTYLE CAME ABOUT, I DON'T AGREE WITH BECAUSE IT'S NOT THE TRUTH.

THE TRUTH IS THAT WHEN MAJOR LABELS STOPPED PUSHING THE DANCE MUSIC OF THAT TIME, THERE WAS SOME SMALL INDEPENDENT BUSINESSMAN THAT JUMPED ON THE BANDWAGON AND TRIED TO KEEP THE MUSIC ALIVE BUT IN DOING SO THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE SALES THAT PAR SAY TKA, LISA LISA, & GEORGE LAMOND WERE ABLE TO PRODUCE.

SO IF U WANT TO BLAME ANYTHING ON THE DECLINE AND POPULARITY OF WHAT I CALL DANCE MUSIC AND U CALL FREESTYLE, U CAN BLAME IT ON THOSE SMALL INDEPENDENT LABELS THAT REPORDUCED PLANET ROCK TO DEATH AND PUT OUT NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF WHACK DANCE MUSIC.

NOW MIND U I'M NOT HATING ON ALL OF IT. WHAT IS A HIT IS A HIT..SO WHO EVER HAS RESPONDED TO MY COMMENTS, AND HAVE RESPONDED IN A NEGATIVE WAY AND DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A FORUM TO SHARE THOUGHTS AND IDEAS, VIEWS AND TRUTHS OF A MUSIC THAT NEEDS TO RAISE UP AGAIN. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? ALL OF THE ARTIST THAT BLEW UP : TKA LISA LISA, LIZETTE MELENDEZ, JUDY TORRES, GEORGE LAMOND, COVER GIRLS, ECT NEED TO GET BACK INTO THE STUDIO AND RECORD ALBUMS FROM THE HEART AND NOT WORRY ABOUT THEIR MUSIC BEING CATEGORIZED.

IN ORDER FOR THIS MUSIC TO BE RECOGNIZED AND RESPECTED BY THE MAJORITY IT MUST BEGIN TO SELL MILLIONS AGAIN AND WORK ITS WAY BACK INTO THE MAIN STREAM. THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN IF EVERYONE REMAINS CLOSE MINDED TO ONE IDEA.

I've read your post and I got a couple of points [1] we never appointed ourselves kings of anything...you the fans gave that to us [2] we would be sell-outs if we claim to be all that you the fans make us out to be...last I looked the only things that sell out are material things like milk, tickets to nsync concerts etc, etc. You are my favorite type of fanatic, the one so blinded that anger is all you can demonstrate. I understand your pain in your dislike of my album...you want pure uncut freestyle and this album ain't it. But come on, are you really reading my post or are you just skiming your way around here. I, nor any of my partners, ever promised a TKA pure freestyle album..sorry but because everything that i write and sing comes from the era in which it became prominent it may have a little of that flavor that might not be satisfactory for you....oh well, there's nothing I can do at this time. The return of freestyle might have to be left up to some Jesus Christ type figure who can give all the things we the oringinal artists can't but it needs space to evolve so loosen up a little...your expectations got you a little tight and i would not want you to pop a vein when there are more pressing matters in the world than the type of music on our new album. About the evolution, think of it this way .... when we first started this Lil Suzy was only nine years old...through out the past 10 or so years Suzanne has developed to a full blown woman...now imagine if freestyle got the chance to evolve like that .... no disrespect Suzy... BABOOM!!!!!...lastly, too Rob from Bklyn, your making me a lot more popular than i care to be without a Tommyboy street team but like they say...there is no such thing as bad publicity...so hate on playa...hate on.....oh and by the way, Rhoq if you're out there my question to you is "when can i meet you? You Guys Had Your Albums In The Past,And None Were 100% Freestyle. First Time I Ran Into Angel By His House He Says " We Never Considerd Half The Songs Freestyle But More Pop "...Thats A While Different Subject...But If You Know What Thats About Or Feel The Same Way...Help Me Out.

Its Like This Kay,Im Only 20. But,Im Also A freestyle Artist And Songwriter. I Do More Underground Stuff Than Commercial. Mainly What Im Saying Is This.....Ive Been Visiting Studio's Since I Was A Kid. I Even Went To Palladium,La Mirage,1018,Etc. When I Was 8. Going With My Cousins Friends Or Whatever. Ive Seen How Long Recording Use To Take. Besides The Fact The Technology Has Changed. The Productions Itself Took hours. People Would Get Stuck On 1 Line Thinking of Another To Be More Slammin Than The Previous. Or The Next Song To Blow Out The Last. Even though Some Recording Booths Were Right Out The Bathtub. Point is...They Took Thier Time And Made Songs U Felt And That U Didnt Have To Ask The Next Person If it Was Good Or Not. U Just knew. And When You Heard Those Melodies And The Way Alot *Not All* Were Sung....It just hit U...You 3 Did The Same Thing. Even If The Songs Werent Freestyle,They Were Good. Out Of The SCARS of LOVE And LOUDER Than Love Albums...Yous Maybe Had 1 Maybe 2 At The Most I might Not Have Liked. But They Took Time And U Felt Them. They Were Meaningful. Out of All This...I Hope U See My View On What Im Talking About.I Respect What Yous do. Maybe I Am Holding Onto The Past And Maybe I Expected To Much. i think this album is very personal, and comes from the heart. there's a lot of meaning behind it!! just because some people are not feeling it doesnt mean it was made with any less heart and soul.

and people who say they like the album, are not ass kissers! an opinion that doesnt coincide with yours is not necessarily wrong.
