i understand how you feel
and you're keepin it real
i respect what you're doing
but im just pursuing

what i feel in my heart
its just a small part
of what goes on in my mind
its all entwined

i need to get it off my chest
to put the subject to rest
so i can keep growing
instead of always just showing

that i have grown older
that i can now shoulder
the pain we both feel
in time we will heal
