...and I even had the chance to experience it full force @ 9 p.m., Friday night. I went outside and took advantage of the storm and was literally blown away by the wind, and was drenched by the rain that fell like rocks from the sky....
Florida was under a state of emergency and by 2 p.m. on Friday....everything was closed. We were basically stuck at the resort....watching the news and drinking in our rooms, waiting for Charlie to hit Orlando. And when it did, you knew it. Palm trees were bending at 90 degrees....the golf course became a lake......you could hear the wind blowing through the hallways.....rain was dripping into the elevators.....lights were flickering......it was crazy.
Today....on my way to the airport.......I got a glimpse of total destruction. I feel sorry for all of those people that have nothing to return to.
