I just basically shot myself in the foot today at work. I quit. Of course now I'm screwed, I have no job and wonder what the hell I'm going to do, how the hell I'm going to make rent next month and a whole list of other things.

I just went and put my resume up on Monster so we'll see what happens. So was just wondering if anyone knows of other online job posting places. Thanks in advance for your help! Just hope I find something and soon!

It was a little bit of everything. The ridiculous amounts of overtime I did, then when I didn't do overtime one of my bosses tried to always make me feel bad or guilty, then when I would do it of course it was with no thanks. Plus just too much bs. I couldn't sleep at night because of the stress and I've been getting severe chest pains, which if not careful about, could lead to a heart attack, and I'm not wanting to have one of those before age 25 (or at all for that matter). I was really trying to stick it out and wait for a new job and then give my 2 weeks, but just hit my breaking point theses last few weeks, and today shit just hit the ceiling so to speak.

Thanks for the tip on hotjobs. I knew there were other sites, just couldn't think of the name.

Did they FREAK out when you quit?

They'll miss you girl !

Meanwhile I don't know any online jobs but I will send many

blessings your way. Best Wishes and you know the saying:

"everything happens for a reason, God knows what he's doing for your life"

DAMN Meggy! Sorry to hear that! 🙁

But if its gonna mean less stress for you then KUDOS!!!!!! 😉

Good luck on finding something soon! I know what it is to be out of work and wondering how to make the bills! Just went thru that. Was out of work for 5 weeks! It was rough!

Wow that is not good at all. 🙁

good luck w/finding a new job....chest pains and overly stressed is not the way to go. 😉...try searching the bulletins (library) for county jobs. take all the civil service exams for the positions you're interested in that way when you get hired your postion is secured.

want some advice

your 24 by the time your 30 youll prob walk out of get fired or quit from prob another 10 jobs. if your not a suck ass type. or dont like to play political games in the office. if you do. than youll have no problems llllllolll.

id say do what i do. get your self a rolodex of about 20 employment agencies.

for when something happens. i always have a job cuase if get canned. i call any of those agencies where my resume is on file. and bing !

work llloll. !

that's a messed up thing to say.....I don't find that you have to kiss anyone's ass w/most jobs....there are still some dignified positions in the world where what you say really matters ....of course it's best to have a union to back you up.

ohh chest pains lllloll

welcome to that club tooo. i gone to the hospital 8 times in last 10 years thinking i was having heart attack from my job lllllolll. its called working in with generation x llol. the most distracted lazy unmotivated collection of crap ever to work in this country.

yes our peers will sometimes make you think your having a heart attack with the way the work or umm dont work lllol.

our co workers create this stress these days. cuase there such collosal undiscplied and underprepared human beens.

the key to the ehart attack thing ? is that its all in your head. your not having a heart attack. your co workers built up this stress in you.

and when your heart starts palpatating. just ignore it. it goes away by itself. or when you feel like a stress episode is coming over you just ignore it.

take it from a guy who many times i went to the ER thinking i was having something from my work day lol.

i have about 7000 dollars in ER bills racked up by collosal useless employees that put me in that condition.

but around 30 i learned how to ingore everything. and not worry about nothing.

and thats when that i think im having a heart attack begings to go away.

but it hunted me through all my 20's. cuase ive always worked along side idiots.

thats my curse always has been lllllolll.

use to it now llol

Took the words right out of my mouth Nina! I was not an ass kisser, nor do I plan to be. All of my jobs I have had have been steady ones. I'm not one to bounce around and change jobs every month or something. Plus I'm a hard worker, and my resume speaks for itself, and on top of that, I have extremely good interview skills.

I'm sure I'll find something. It's just the in between time that's going to hurt.

Chest pains are not nothing. You want to argue with a paramedic? Yes you can be in your 20's and have a heart attack. And no it's not "all in your head" True there are idiots in the work field, I know I've delt with them, but also you sometimes think things too much and you put the pressure on yourself, plus there's stress from bosses, managers etc etc. But to say its all in your head? Nope. Not unless you're a hypochondriac.

she's a strong woman and will be just fine. sometimes even a small break is all we need before we regroup and move on to something better.

ohhh give it some years you will be

i wasnt either llloll

we live in a transiant work force its terrbile but it has its advantages. one advantage is you can just walk out and start somewhere fresh.

one disadvantage is some one can just say bye. walk out of here by lunch we dont need you llloll.

either way the idea is and always will be. is that you are your own business. and your best asset is you. Not where you work. most people got it the other way around.

a company can be replaced you cant. so you being your biggsit asset.

You have to find a place thats makes the most amount of money with least amount of stress.

take that to the bank too llllolll
