I need everybodies help here. I'm looking for the following songs. If anyone hase them please get in contact with me.

They've been stuck in my head for the quite a few years. When I ask some of my DJ "friends" to put them on cd for me, they claim they have them (I doubt it), say they'll do it but never get back to me.

Whoever get's them to me will have my first born named after them.


Song One: Dominica - Love String (the remixed version with "It's TIme" mixed into it).


Song Two: Jamie - Summer Heat


Song Three: Milan Bass - Tell Me Why (there are two versions of this tune... I'm looking for the one with the girl singing and the guy throwing down that cheesy little rap at the end).

Then you're not looking for Milan Bass. You want the original version - "Tell Me Why" by Angela Garcia. 😉

I have it on vinyl.

I haven't really seen it much in stores over the last few years, but you might be able to find a copy of it on E-Bay.

That would require way too much effort on my part just so you could obtain a song illegally 😉

I'm not going to contribute to the further raping and pillaging of our music by “sharing” MP3s. One of the reasons why Freestyle is in such piss poor shape is because of people downloading songs instead of buying.

I’m actually very shocked that this MP3 epidemic has not been addressed by this site’s administration. MP3s have hurt Freestyle beyond repair yet everyday I see a shitload of “MP3 Request” threads pop-up around here.

Wow! I'm sorry I offended you.

Honestly my intention wasn't to rile you up.

Tell you what... tell me where I could obtain this song legally and I'll gladly do that (money isn't even an issue). If not then get me Angela Garcia's contact info, rip the song for me and I'll mail her a money order for $16.00.

I'm dead serious here.

P.S.
The reason Freestyle is in trouble is because it is difficult to find the music... not because of MP3s. I live in Toronto (one of largest freestyle markets in the world) and I'll be damned if could find any of these songs anywhere.
 
It's nothing personal. It just amazes that MP3 sharing has become so common place over the last few years. I understand your point about not being able to find the music so MP3 is often times a last resort - BUT a lot of people don't even try to find the music legitimately before they seek alternatives.

If you honestly think that MP3 have not hurt Freestyle I encourage you to contact some of the "Freestyle Industry Personell" that have memberships here at CF and ask them how MP3s have affected them.

As for Angela Garcia - I do not have her contact information, though I could probably get it for you. I would suggest scouring E-Bay and GEMM.

GEMM currently has a copy of "Tell Me Why" by Angela Garcia going for $23.00 USD

I checked it out and GEMM has the 12". I haven't had a turntable for about 15 years now so if worse comes to worst I'll purchase that and then have someone ripp it for me.

I agree in some cases MP3s hurt the industry. But in some cases they help it. I do a lot of business with the music industry in Canada (predominately electronic music; break beats, trance, drum & bass) and I've spoken to several DJs and producers who attribute their success to the exposure that MP3s have granted them. DJ Icey, Tiesto all of them owe their initial exposure to the proliferation of this medium.




I've been listening to Freestyle for over 20 years now (it was called High NRG Dance back then). My love for the music is solid. But we can't expect a newer generation of enthusiasts to acquire an appreciation for this genre if it isn't easily accessible.
