Ok yes I am aware that it is only mid Sept...but what songs do you think will rank high on the Frenzy's Year End Countdown

Well unfortunatly 2003 was not the greatest yr in freestyle (contrary to what a lot were saying and predicting) I still think 2002 followed by 2001 were the best years for freestyle since the early yrs (this is MY opinion lol) but with the return of planet freestyle and freestyle heaven 5 at least there was material being released

I think that Joee's "better than you" is gonna take top place

I would like to see the DRC remix of "I know" by Audry take it though, also the new Dimi song and Freda songs should make it up there too 🙂

So what are your early predictions

Unfortunately, the frenzy has not supported Audrey "I Know" although it was a much better product and had trhe best retail exposure out of all the tracks featured (it payed on nationwide radio, was featured on galaxie and dmx digital service), was serviced to all record pools nationwide and as the icing on the cake, it is a Sony baby!!!

Aside from that, Joée's track is way up there and hopefully the frenzy will support the return of the planet freestyle cd a little more enthusiastically.
 
yeah i think it'll be Joee as well ( I mean he DID put out the best track this year )

As for the rest I'm not too sure actually 🙁 Hopefully Planet Freestyle arists will be in the countdown.. like Freda and Linda Furtado
 
Joee's new track sucked compared to most of the stuff on the Return of Planet Freestyle CD. It sounded just like all his older songs. No originality, nothing new. Same sound. Not to mention extremely repetitive. Honestly, I always skip that track.
 
But, it is still a hot track and brought freestyle back in the top 20 radio play up here. "Better than you" is way up there in my all time favourite freestyle tracks.
 
Well I actually like "better than you"...mainly because it sounds like the older stuff...most of the newer stuff although AMAZING still don't sound like the original freestyle (most have euro and trance elements to them) and this song was pure freestyle so it was a nice change back 🙂
 
no the first time i heard better than you, i just thought it sounded exactly like died in your arms. it grew on me after a while but now the song's just gotten boring. i agree the planetfreestyle stuff is way better than that. still its probably gonna be #1, also i think the remix of makes me go mmm will be high on the list as well as primadonna - why havent i told you, and that new VERY CORNY song by stevie b that sounds way too much like euro.
 
um.. it's one of his older slow songs remade into something more fast and trancy
 
^^ You mean the song that gets played on the Frenzy every week even though there is absolutely nothing freestyle about it. :lol
 
i think so 😛 i haven't listened to the Frenzy in months
 
Oh there is a remake to that song...Is it a remake or a remix
So "Dream About You" and "Because I Love You" are two other slow Steve B songs that were remade or remixed into trance/euro songs...is this the new way of freestyle 🙁
 
Oh ok thanks...so I guess this will be on the next z103 cd which I think is the Invasion 3cd 🙁
